Get the fvck out of here. I have NEVER bragged about being in the UK. Ur insecurity led you to believe I am. I only brought up the UK when ur friend erico2k2 was trying to tell me about whites. I had to let him a brother know. Only freshies brag. Those of us who have been here our entire lives know it's not that deep!

Pls tell me how my observation that certain ethnicities don't speak indigenous languages in a country I'm from should be none of my concern?

Better go back and read my updated post and after that, read this:

Your observation is not the problem. The problem is that you are ignorant about the state of affairs in the Niger Delta, especially as it pertains to the socio-linguistic makeup of the region. Even in your obvious ignorance, you were making careless statements and assumptions including but not limited to:

1. That all the languages spoken in Edo State are dialects of Bini (this is ignorance at its peak. The Edoid language family comprises related languages that are not mutually intelligible whatsoever. Even within a group like Urhobo, we have languages such as Okpe and Uvwie that are not intelligible to other Urhobo speakers).

2. That those who speak pidgin do not speak their indigenous languages intra-ethnically (you cannot substantiate this except you have visited EVERYWHERE in the Niger Delta and have spoken to EVERYONE. In my village alone, Urhobo is spoken by all but in cities such as Warri or conurbations such as Abraka, Ughelli and Sapele, pidgin is commonly spoken ALONGSIDE Urhobo).

3. Assuming that pidgin is not a formal language or a 'proper' language (I faulted you on this and pointed out that pidgin is 100% formal and has attracted academics from all over the world).

Above all, you proved incorrigible and are unwilling to take corrections and apologise for your crass ignorance, senile effontry and crude vituperations. UK resident indeed!!

Better learn your lesson and face front. Sun too hot nor mean say fowl go lay boiled egg. Hot blood nor dey cook food done. I too know for wetin you nor know na sin for where those wey know dey.

Wey e com to pidgin English matta people dey quick tuk sey na warri dey kari first. Dis na haw I si di matta; wey e com to pidgin wey clear and free from slangs na Edo carry first, but for di one wey dem dey speak wit many slangs inside na waffi version top. The waffi version Nor go fit qualify for official 'status' if dem take di language Mata reach dat level, e go always remain on di street.

Speaking pidgin like who mopol stand for E front simply means Forcefully speaking pidgin English, ie its not part of them, they are speaking it just cos they thought you are from the endz where it is spoken fluently, so they want to identify but still its rubish. This what speaking pidgin in front of MOPOL(mobile Police) means.Simple.

Talking about slang, most warri pidgin is slang. The best pidgin is from edo state, clean, clear and direct.

I understand your concept but you failed it woefully! This shows you know nothing about Anambra state.

Anambra people are by far the most traveled in Nigeria. This means that those people you see speaking pidgin English in Lagos and other places are the same people speaking Igbo at Onitsha.

In a nutshell, Anambra people can speak broken well. Most traders that come from middle belt and Niger Delta communicate in pidgin English with them. But, generally, we don't like pidgin English.
Isn't this clear enough?

all that craaap you wrote there is what my few lines meant, ordinarily, you wont speak Pidgin amongst yourselves it would be Igbo, but in the presence of strangers you would speak the bit you know.I graduated from ESUT in Enugu state and served @ 9th mil Ngwo thats 6 years + I lived among the igbos. thier pidgin is by force like who MOPOL point gun face.

I didn't say everybody in Bayelsa though not the rural area just Yenagoa and you know Portharcourt people has the cleanest English Delta also has some intonations they all seem to have that Urhobo accent even if they not from the tribe or speak it. Maybe it's because you're from there and you've been hearing your fellow deltans speak for long so it's sstarting to feel normal. listen when they pronounce Sh and Ch sounds like Chop they pronounce it as Shop. that's Delta accent even Bayelsans too share that Shosh for church accent too. Most Bayelsans in the Southern most places where they speak Izon and Nembe you'd hear them saying SOS for Church. But for New born Yenagoans it's not like that although they sometimes say Jejus for Jesus but it's just a few people the ones that stays near or are Epie Attisa speakers. But really I tell you the Yenagoans who speak pidgin as a first language don't really have tribal intonations like me.
the sh for CH thing about the urhobos is true but thats a mispronounced word which is also common with lots of tribes but intonation of the Igbo's for example when they talk is just something else. Anyway, bottom line is, pidgin English should be recognized as such since everyone in Nigeria now love it.

Who says so? Tell me huh? First of all you think you know which is stupid because really you don't know. Second of all Goan research on Pidgins and creole d linguistics thoroughly then come back to debate. As long as it has native speakers it's a language. You think languages just popped out of the air they constantly are born from a much more older language. Go to your History book read on Latin and vulgar Latin and the history of French Spanish Italian Portuguese and your dear English which is actually started of as a Corruption of Latin German Scandinavian French Greek etc.

Young man.. You are intelligent. The girl 1sharon girl the provoke me with her comments. She doesn't even know the etymology and evolution of the world major languages. I grew up in a pidgin speaking home, I know my language and will outshine her in English. Because I know the rules of Grammar. Be it prescriptive or descriptive grammar, I've got the English syntax on my finger tips. Yet, I'm a proud speaker of Pidgin.

Who cares about your rubbish and ESUT nonsense?
Anambra has minimal pidgin English, unless you are a Hausa or Yoruba (with visible tribal marks), the first language you will receive anywhere in Anambra is Igbo. This does not mean they are not fluent in pidgin English.

All other nonsense you wrote is empty rants from someone writing with he has no clue.

Hey Miss, you need some chill pills, strop trolling already. In the South, pidgin is our Lingua Franca. I see many guys trying to put you through and make you understand, but you are bent on arguing blindly. You just too shallow minded and daft!

You know how many foreign girls love me because of my pidgin, you know how South African girls would always want me to teach them pidgin? Hey! I'm pidgin; I'm proudly Naija.

Jamaica is popular today because of her distinct form of English called Patois.... Pidgin can also put Nigeria on the map some day. From your comment, I could tell you know nothing about the World and its people.
