It was a night of real shame for Arsenal F.C. on their home ground right in front of their own fans as F.C. Bayern Munich matched their 5-1 thrashing of the hosts to make it a 10-2 aggregate drubbing with an embattled Manager Arsene Wenger looking pitiful at the Emirates Stadium.

This makes it a seventh consecutive last-16 exit for F.C. Arsenal whose Laurent Koscielny got sent off after Theo Walcott had scored his team’s opening goal coming on the heels of a spirited first-half display.

Bayern’s top goal scorer Robert Lewandowski won and converted a 55th minute penalty as Koscielny was sent off and just as it happened at the Allianz Arena in Germany, Arsenal caved in with the departure of the French defender and went on to suffer the heaviest aggregate defeat inflicted upon an English team in Champions League history.
