Most definitely. I love the saloon version. Learnt driving using a 504. Almost every family had it while we were growing up around NNPC housing estate warrior, in the 90s. Strong car.

If you do your search well, you van get this for 350k and refurbish it with 500k in Nigeria. That will be more economical if you like vintage.

Do you remember the days of Bendel Line that later split into Edo Line and Delta Line? I think Edo Line became more fun to travel with than Delta Line. They had a larger fleet of cars with more interesting drivers who would criss-cross from Lagos to Port Harcourt with admirable driving skills. The way those guys used to dodge potholes at Ore and Patani express, no be for here. Even their downshifts will make you feel like you are in a rally race. Every road trip was more like a competition.

If remember all this, it is almost certain you’ll be in love with this 1980s Peugeot 504 station wagon. But do you love it to the extent of paying ₦6million for it?

This model is one of Peugeot’s most iconic and served the company for about 14 years. Even Peugeot’s ending production at Sochaux couldn’t kill the 504, as assembly plants in Nigeria and Kenya continued to sell them using knocked-down-parts.

I was not surprised when I saw some available for sale above $10,000. Would you pay that much for a 1982 504?

I heard of vintage cars, antique cars and classic cars. I don't really know which of the category this car falls into. What I know is that car collector can even pay more than that 6 million naira. This is not for everybody, is for cars collectors. Not just for someone with one car.

I will gladly pay 10 mill for this vintage. This is pure steel not the scrabs we get these days.

My grand dad sold these brand of cars in the early 80s. A must have to some people then

o boy you took me way back memory lane, chai, the days where Lagos-Benin by Bendel line was N20 then for a pleasurable ride. yea those bendel or edo line drivers were really experts not the touts we have as drivers these days. mhen I truly fancy those days as I grew up in benin so I can relate to this very well.

chai Nigeria don spoil finish, can we ever get back to those beautiful times again, no kidnapping e.t.c. Am sorry for the indomie generation, they never knew how good this country was years ago

They all come with their advantages and disadvantages. Steel body is heavier and bit safer but the composite body is lighter and consumes less fuel.

Why?...plan reselling as scrap iron? ... or using to fetch load inside and on top?....those cars aren't as safe as cars today nor have a longer lifespan.
@topic....... that's too wayyy much for a car that's pretty much easily available.
