Ameachi is doing his job. Even the airport building itself need overhauling, equipment upgraded. I feel shy landing and traveling from anything airport in Nigeria. Murtala Mohammed an eye saw. What a country!!! There was a country.....

Yep. Meanwhile Nigerian engineers are looking for projects to work on. I wonder what the ratio split is between their local and expatriate workers. Those are things other countries are strict about, but with Nigeria anything goes, unfortunately.
My dear, you're right on the money.

My dear, you're right on the money. A little kick back to our ogas at the top and all necessary rules of engagement are adjusted to suit the expatriates.
Same ish with Triacta working here in Bida, you wouldn't see any Nigerian engineer with them except for unskilled labour.

Hmm, it's an unfortunate situation. Corruption has eaten deep into the Nigerian system.

It's a German company, the one in Nigeria is simply the Nigerian arm of the business, like any other branch anywhere else in the world

This is what happens when you don't do things well the first time.
An international airport had to be shut down for repairs cos it has just one runway for both local and international flights. Is it a bad thing if the airport had multiple runways from its inception.

Why is it bad for an international airport to be shut for repairs. Have u not seen such in developed countries b4. U say govt lacks maintenance culture, now they wanna repair u are complaining .
You are on point with the other things u said. But the aspect of closing down the airport for maintenance is necessary..

Can u drive a car that is at the mechanic workshop at the same time.

E fi ote le

ephi123:

Why should they sing praises? Is it Amaechi's personal money? Is it not Nigeria's money as a collective entity?

It's bad enough that a whole International airport had to be completely shut down and you are saying people will sing praises when it is completed. Mehn, when will Nigeria move forward with this kind of thinking. Is the government doing us a favour? Are they not elected to work? Leaders MUST be held accountable at every point in time. They are NOT doing us a favour.
