My goal is to give you some points that guarantee you freedom from the fear of the unknown. This is because the greatest portion of your life lies in the unknown dimension. The portion of your life that you have seen thus far or that you have now will always be lesser than the portion that you have not seen. That is why the devil gives you a fear of the unknown.

Look at the children of Israel when they left Egypt; Some of them decided to go back to Egypt because they thought, “The devil you know is better than the angel you don’t know”, they didn’t realize that what was waiting for them in the promise land was greater than anything they had ever seen in Egypt. What you are yet to become is what the devil is afraid of not what you already are. Haven’t you heard some people say, “The good old days”, there is nothing like the good old days, anything that is gone is lesser than what is to come.

Another category of the children of Israel got to the wilderness and decided to settle down there. These were the two-and-half tribes that reared cattle. They saw that the land was very good for cattle but it was not where God wanted them to settle. The devil is the best negotiator that you will ever meet. He will cajole you to take the good instead of the better, and if you don’t take that he will offer you the better instead of the best. There are too many of God’s people that the negotiation of the devil has stopped.

So, these two-and-half tribes stopped short of entering into the fullness of their inheritance, because they didn’t understand the power of the unknown. The fear of the unknown is what the devil uses to keep you from embracing the power of the unknown. So many people get in haste and under the pressure of the devil and thereby settle down for lesser than God has for them, because the best for your life is yet to be. What is waiting for you in the days ahead is far greater than what you have seen in the days before.
