Giving dogs beautiful names might seem funny sometimes especially in this part of the world where names must be given carefully to avoid embarrassment and public resist.
I remembered when my Grandma named her dog ‘Oye,' Oye means harmattan, the dog was bought during December harmattan. People named their dogs out of emotions and the atmosphere they found themselves. Our new dog's names are July and August respectively; the dogs were named according to the date of purchase. Sometimes when you hear dog names, you can’t but laugh to the rhythm of the names.

mine are Jacob and Dragon, the male gsd is Jacob while the female Rott/gsd mix is Dragon. I call her dragon as in the dragon lady because of her ferarce and territorial nature. Jacob too is very aggressive, and I named him that, because I just love the name.
