These whole drama by the senate is just to intimidate not only Magu but also whoever that the president will appoint to replace him. So intimidating Magu out of office will be a warning to whoever the president will appoint next.

Coruption can never be eradicated in nigeria. When it is the responsibility of a corupt senate to enthron a corupt Magu sent by a corupt and confused president to fight the corupt senetors. Remember the wife of the corupt Tinubu who help brought corupt buhari into power is one of the corupt senetors... My brother that's not the issue this senators are all under investigation of efcc most of them were former governor standing trials ..rejection of magu is not a voice of Nigeria people they claimed to be representing.. They don't want anti corruption war

well another reason could be that he does not want to be seen to be interfering - just like Saraki's emergence as SP

but I agree, that in this case the DSS reports to you and he cannot claim not to have known. I suspect there is in-fighting in the APC and in the Presidency
