The problem we have today in Nigeria was caused by the Biafrans,

Let them go and consult their grand-fathers (Ironsi, Nzegwu and co), why they destroyed the regional system of government which the British left for Nigeria.

This post provides lucid clarifications. But it will still not convince the mischievous ones. Let the open minded digest the post and help in the campaign for equity in politics and governance. It does not matter your tribe. Just think of what Nigeria looks like when all the issues raised in the post are taken care of. Otherwise Nigeria has no future and the agitation for Biafra will definitely continue and with greater intensity, whether they release Kanu or no. Even if he dies (MAY GOD FORBID) in the struggle. No body wants a united Nigeria more that the Igbo. I am sure it is the same for Nnamdi Kanu. This struggle might take several shapes and forms in months and years to come. I pray it remains peaceful. Today we have a window of opportunity to resolve it amicably.
