It is a known fact in Nigeria that you can buy immunity against prosecution from the police, if you have the means. And means mean MONEY.

Yes! It has become the norm to "settle" and surely you'll be left alone. The amount you pay is always commensurate with the magnitude of the offence you commit .

The downside of this act is that people get more criminally inclined if they know thaT they can always buy their way out.

Imagine if you are caught taking alcohol while driving and you go to jail for it, or you are caught cyberscamming and sent to jail for that.

Impunity!! Everywhere!


And it has gotten to a point that the policemen are enjoying making money through this means. No wonder policemen are the richest among the middle class. Imagine an inspector of police with three houses and two sedan simply because he's a prosecutor.


I am appealing to the IGP to look into this matter in order to help Mr president fight this menance I called "police induced corruption"
