Your points are okay but not realistic except you have only one class a day. cos wen I was in school expecially borrowed and general courses, you have class that will end by 2 and the next class is by 3 and not in the same venue before you get der if you even see back of class sit down sef you give glory to God

I am a tall person, I have this natural love for sitting at the back even with the noise makers and '"cool and happening guys" and also in church or any gathering but I always listen attentively or most times, immediately i get home, I use my phone to make research on what was taught.
I have this bad boy look but deep inside, I am quite intelligent. Whenever people see me read, they are amazed because I spend my time flexing in class or school but go home to jack during the wee early hours of the day, everyday.
I am 'the work hard, play hard' typa guy

It is one thing to attend classes,
but getting the best from the lecture
session is a different ball game
entirely. I have outlined the following
as steps to take if you desire to get
maximum benefits from your
lectures.

1. Come before the lectures
begin: endeavor to be at the
lecture venue (class) not later
than 30 minutes to
commencement of the lectures.
The benefits of this cannot be
over emphasized. It puts the
mind in a relaxed mood, ready
for learning. You also get the
chance to make brief revisions
before the lecture commences.
Do this a few times and you'll see
it becoming a part of you.

2. Sit in the front: O' yes! The back
seat they say is meant for late
comers and noise makers
(*chuckles*). Sit in front where
the chances of you being
distracted are minimal. You also
get to hear the lecturer clearly.

3. Come prepared: just like a farmer
goes to the farm with farming
implements, go to the class with
whatever is required of you or
things needed for convenience
such as calculator, mathematical
sets, pencils, booklet, pen, bottled
water and the likes. Remember,
your aim for attending the
lecture is to get knowledge/ideas
from the tutor. All of these
materials at your disposal will see
to this goal being achieved.

4. Write, write and write intelligible:
An old Chinese proverb says that
“the faintest ink is more
powerful than the
strongest memory”. Endeavor to
write during lectures. Put down
important points, employ the use
mnemonics, retrieval cues, and
whatever will aid retention and
recall of what has been taught.

5. Ask questions: no lecturer who
knows his/her onions
will penalize you for
being inquisitive. When an aspect
of your course content is not well
understood, do ask questions!
This is to ensure that learning
objectives are achieved and no
grey area is left unattended to.

6. Stay away from that noisy friend
during lectures: Loquacious,
hyperactive, playful... You know
them. You also risk being sent
out of the class for being a
nuisance along with them. Avoid
them, it'll benefit you and that
also sends a message to them
that such actions are
unacceptable.

7. Open you mind: go to class/
lectures with the mind-set of
learning something new. Be open
to new ideas/knowledge.
Appreciate the fact that the
instructor has spent considerable
amount of time putting together
the learning content.

This steps aren't exhaustive, however they sure will help you get the best during lecture sessions as a student.

When you adhere to this few
steps, be sure of getting the best from
that lecture and ultimately getting
that eye-popping CGPA!

Good points. But some of these things can be very difficult in a Nigerian School setting.E.g

Point1: Many times, Lectures are back to back, no spaces in between eg 8-10, 10-12, 12-2

Point2: Here's a scenerio I went through during school. About 500students waiting to enter a 100seater hall for a lecture. You'll only get a front seat by chance and not choice except you are willing to stand. Let's hope you're able to write well standing in the heat.To worsen the case, the lecturer is just talking to himself not caring if you hear or not.

Point3:

sit in front. I discovered this truth late during my college days. MY final year was when i stated this truism and it paid.

i did not enter the university to bag a 1st class !!no i didnt ....am not a person who claims to read read and read ..no i never do so !!!am just a person who likes simples things and grasps the required knowledge from my lecturers, coursemates, text books/journals and definitely the great Wikipedia .
i camebinto the university with an openmind of going out with any honour because knowing my self i hardly read but i suprise myself whenever it comes to academics ....am just that natural intellectual person who refuses to work on the natural ability (you no sabi say reading the pain for head)...so i dont underatand what you mean by your statement because i never had intentions of coming out tops ....just comeout with a 2.1 or at most a 2.2 (but am comfortably leisuring in 2.1 with a cgpa of over 4.0)and thats all.I hope i have been able to be a bit rational and able to conscientiously illuminate you old mind

Might not work with some courses though, but just be creative.
