BREAKING: Senate Committee Recommends Suspension Of Ndume by papparatzzi2013: 2:03pm On Mar 29, 2017
The senate committee on ethics and privileges has recommended the suspension Ali Ndume, a senator from Borno state, for 181 days for “deliberately” bringing up an issue the paints the upper legislative chamber in a bad light.

It cleared Senate President Bukola Saraki of the allegation of deliberately taking vengeance on Hameed Ali, comptroller-general of the Nigeria Customs Service (NCS), for seizing a vehicle purportedly belonging to him.

It also cleared Dino Melaye, a senator from Kogi state, of the allegation of forging his degree certificate.

Last Tuesday, Ndume‎ asked the senate to investigate the allegation that it was exacting vengeance on Ali because the agency had seized a vehicle of Saraki.

He also asked the senate to investigate the allegation against Melaye.

The committee presented the report of its investigation on Wednesday.

The upper legislative chamber and Ali have been locked in a battle of wits since the customs announced that it would commence collection of duty on old cars.

The service has since suspended the action.

The game is becoming more and more interesting .

I doubt if Ndume's suspension will be ratified but it will be good because it will enable Ndume to open up on all the can of worms they've been shielding from the masses.

Ndume !!! o ya sing for us.

Ndume isn't smart. He for kukuma join him colleagues side than being in the minority or just being mute since he can't defeat majority. Lawan was smart to recognise that you can't survive being in the minority and he quickly pitched with Saraki side. Lawan and the rest of his foot soldiers are now Pro Saraki knowing quite well that without unity they will never be recognised.

The buhari presidency is the biggest joke

If dino no get degree certificate, buhari no get school certificate.

If saraki has allegation of corruption to his name, what of grass cutting SGF, amechi, fashola and co.

If ali ndume`s right is been violated, why is buhari still holding kalu and dasuki despite court orders they be released on bail....

Nigeria is a huge joke

After helping these bunch of looters to clear their names, they've turn around to suspend him. what is wrong with someone pointing out an issue to fellow colleagues and demanding investigation so as to present the house in good light before the public if possible?

It is a recommendation, should the senate ratify it? I say No!! It is appalling when Senators are pursuing personal vendetta at the detriment of their legislative duties. Too much badblood, unnecessary distractions and horse trading. How does massaging Dino's ego affect the life of a common man on the street? Talk of misplacement of priority and legislative rascality.

What about 2017 budget? Any news about that?

When Tinubu was against Saraki's senate Presidency, some persons thought it was for personal interest. Many failed to see Tinubu was actually fighting for Buhari. Tinubu's candidate was actually George Akume, who was the minority leader of the 7th Assembly, but he bowed to party supremacy by supporting Senator Lawan. Jagaban saw the danger in Saraki, but Buhari ignored him. Now, I'm sure PMB is already regretting Saraki's senate presidency now.

I am waiting on the "freedom of speech" activists to come cheer themselves over this obvious anomaly. Just look what Saraki has turned the Senate into.

This is highly disgraceful.

Saraki has officially become the proverbial maggot inside the corn. It is a pity Buhari, just for political correctness, hands off the NASS election. This would serve as a good lesson to whosoever would succeed him in that office.

Remember they are always united in looting?

How has the opprobrium in the senate helped an average man? The delay in the passing of budget, rejection of capable hands in the manning of sensitive government agency, deliberate sabotage of efforts aimed at improving the standard of an average Nigerian..

To me, the aforementioned are the results of their in-house squabbles, may I ask, going forward with the same divided house, what possibly could a man from Otukpo, Daura, Otuoke, awka or Oshogbo benefit from their self serving ego laced disposition?

the Senate has more drama than BBNaija. They are all for personal interests and vendetta.

Asking Sagay to appear for his remarks as a private citizen
refusing to confirm the RECs
Suspending Ndume (if it is true)

Well, the House of Rep also did same with Jibrin?
Re: BREAKING: Senate Committee Recommends Suspension Of Ndume by Jaideyone(m): 2:52pm On Mar 29, 2017
mor0nic sinators. Buhari really got it wrong when he refused to out his weight behind a preferred candidate for senate president. now the senate is in the hands of rogues and thieves.

was ndume the accuser? SR made the accusations. Ndume only moved the motion that the accusations be investigated. why is he being hanged for asking the accused to clear themselves?

chai!!! I give up on this country. the most baffling part of this whole poo is that some lowlives who are struggling to eat two square meals are still defending this rogue senators. shame!!!

So for democracy to thrive in Nigeria,Tinubu should be allowed to control the country like Lagos? Smh.Even the next Senate can never be controlled by Tinubu.Nigeria is not Lagos state
