Has Anyone Tried Ginger In The Southwest Before??? by vpaymoney(m): 11:14am On Apr 02, 2017 |
Was wondering why its only Kaduna and its environs we referred to when in need of . My question now is that, can't this survive in the southwest also? Cos if what we call "ajo" can survive, one begin to think why cannot. As anyone done this experiment before? 1 Like |

bizzibodi: Your premise maybe correct, but your conclusion is wrong. My godfather, made lots of money between 1995 and 2000 planting ginger in his frontage. He actually converted his lawn into a ginger farm. He is from Akwa Ibom State. Ginger thrives very well in the South with correct timing and practices. 1 Like |

Ginger survives well in the savannah region of the South West. Areas like the ibarapa, Okeogun areas of Òyó state. The are cheap lands available for sale here. An Acre for as low as 150k and 80k when buying more than 10 Acre. Call Me on 08160121265 KingStride Realtors Ibadan. 1 Like |

Please just get one from Hausa pushing wheel barrow selling it and taste it. Also get the one in south west and taste it. You will see the difference. Ginger drink producers in my area always buy from Hausa while we have here. It's full our area but the taste is not the same |

AYODEJI0605: What caused the difference in taste? Where they different species of ginger? |
Re: Has Anyone Tried Ginger In The Southwest Before??? by greenfarm234: 9:49am On Apr 13 |
AYODEJI0605:you nailed it. The Taste and Scent is different. I have tried it several times and the result has been the same. I bought from the Hausa and planted it. The output was massive, it did very well but it's not marketable because it's VERY BITTER and doesn't really have the Ginger Scent. |
