Why Are Most Nigerians Who Generally Hate Pastors So Confused And Hypocritical? by Edelweiss44: 7:59pm On Apr 02, 2017
Case A:
lady accuses a pastor of adultery.
Pastor keeps quiet.

Nigerians pronounce him guilty because he didn't sue to show how innocent he is..

Case B:
lady accuses pastor of adultery.
Pastor gets her arrested and she's charged to court.

Nigerians start preaching how pastors should forgive and be like Jesus.

Nigerians, please choose your struggle.

Very funny. You have a point though but both cases are not one and the same.

Case A:
lady accuses a pastor of adultery.
Pastor keeps quiet.
There was contact here. Both the Man and the lady admitted to knowing each other. While the lady claimed a lot happened between them, Pastor claimed he was only trying to help her get her life back together, and this he did by sending monies, both in Euros and Dollars, which he didn't deny. Knowing the antics of the man in question, he barely gives without his media team taking photographs and posting on social media afterwards.

According to Pastoral ethics, you don't counsel someone of the opposite sex or even engage them alone in the name of rendering assistance as anything could go wrong. The interesting part is, the man's wife had no idea that her husband had been in constant touch with the said stripper whose mission is to 'pull down the man', and rather than address the issues, he released a music video with his wife in their bid to try to convince people.

Case B:
lady accuses pastor of adultery.
Pastor gets her arrested and she's charged to court.
The lady is question is a druggie whom many know and don't take serious. I love the fact that she was picked from Ibadan, but donning a convict's uniform without trials, particularly when she has been granted bail is what most people are frowning at.

PS: Christ is the litmus test for these pastors. Ever bothered to ask yourself what Jesus would do if He found Himself in a mess as theirs?

Pastors are meant to be role models and christ like in anything they do and they shouldn't be identified with anything negative, it's not as if people hate them they just get disappointed...is it not all the pastors the that were accused afterall but just those with trails of smoke

I am tired of back and forth argument here, biko. Save you don't know that Case B is in reference to Kemi Olunloyo who was convicted and jailed for drug related offences in the Caribbeans. It is an open secret.

And about first Case (Case A), it is possible she is equally a druggie but since she didn't come out to say she is one, and neither did the man involved come out to say the same, we can only assume she is not. However, the most important thing is that Case A involved contact.

If you are looking for evidences and documents, please know that they are littered all over cyberspace. It is not a secret that Madam Kemi is delusional.

Again, the two cases are not the same.

The brother cannot make sense when you have programmed your mind into acting the zombie. It is not to far fetched now, or is it?

Sorry, there is no evidence of conviction on kemi for drugs.
People put up the allegations...

Zombies are irredeemable and are hell bent on not making a turn, even in the face of truth. You cannot poke your hand into the head of a man who doesn't want to reason.

You have come again with your lies! When did Apostle Suleiman ever say he had contact with the prostitute? It is only Stephanie the blackmailer who keeps claiming there ever was any contact. The Apostle has always stated the fact which is that he has never physically met Stephanie and he only spoke to her on phone when Stephanie obtained his number and called him to plead for financial assistance to quit prostitution and set up a new legitimate business. Jesus found himself in similar mess a lot of times when the pharisees and sadducees and some religious Jews kept defaming him and accusing him of blasphemy against God, and on one occasion I remember, Jesus replied them and said to them "woe unto you, a generation of vipers........."

The truth is that a pastor is more than a "man of God". He is primarily a human being and is susceptible to human problems, temptations and the likes. Moreso when he struggles with his urges because of his status as a pastor.

Many pastors give in to these human urges every once in a while. You can't fight your own nature. Even the few that may be able to control their human nature frequently find themselves struggling between their humanity and their calling. This is normal.

No one expects any pastor or "apostle" to be infallible. In fact, many of us do worse things than these so-called "men of God". The point is that we should acknowledge that they are not infallible and can do things any other human can.

The pastors should also own up to their sins and ask for forgiveness rather than use the pulpit to brainwash innocent people into the belief that they are demi-gods who are free from sin. The human flesh is a burden and that burden must manifest through thoughts, words or actions.
