Why do Nigerians have this habit of stripping suspects?
It only shows our waywardness and lack of civilization.
It was actually a mobile Police Officer (Mopol) that stripped him. The man was wearing two trousers and three shirts at the same time. He hid the drink under the shirt.

Spiritual propeller indeed...

Read as shared by Adonis Nwammah

This Morning (about 11am), This Man packed This Car and stole This Drink (Jack Daniels, N4900 only) from This Superstore that is in the same office complex with my own office. He has many other bottles of hot drinks under the front passenger seat of the Car. (We have not opened the boot).

According to the statement he wrote while being asked by a Barrister, who also has office in the complex, he said he was a former Custom Officer (maybe dismissed), but now into Clearing and Forwarding. He said he was/is a politician and that he even contested for House of Assembly in his Ekiti State under APC, against one Ojo of PDP. According to him, he has four children, two of them graduates.

Some boys them were ready to do the extras, thank God for some police officers that arrived the scene. I don’t just understand, is this greed or a negative spiritual propeller

...and on whose permission are you uploading his photo on Social media? The Police? A Court Judge?
Has he been found guilty by a court of law?
What if it emerged that he was not convicted of stealing the items, do you know that he can "find you out" and sue you in court
(in which case you could get jailed for a long time or fined amounts you wont be able to pay, even if you worked 24hrs for the rest of your miserable life?)

You people think you have a job of using your Techno phone to record whatever you like and then upload it to the internet, without recourse to the RIGHTS & PRIVACY of the person whose picture you are Uploading.

Do you even know that it is a 'breach of privacy' to take someone's picture and share it, without their permission?

Be careful, one day, that your phone will put you in serious trouble.
Ask 'Aunty' Kemi Olunloyo, if still in doubt. undecided

If l were you, l will remove that picture before its too late.

Someone that was caught red handed.is he still a suspect?

Yes! ....in 'LAW', he remains a "suspect", until convicted by a Judge in a court of law.
For all you know, the court might declare him innocent of the offence!

So, if you have taken any action on him as a "guilty" person, you are in serious trouble.
That is how the law works but most people get into trouble for not knowing what the law says! (IGNORANCE is not bliss anymore!
grin undecided

For example, everyone that stripped him, beat him, abuse him or dehumanise him at this point and stage of the investigation (including the Police Mopol and the Lawyer that forced a confessional statement out of him) can/will go to jail, if a court declares him not guilty!... and he then presses charges against them

We just need to be very careful. This is why you dont see all these type of behaviour (public stripping or mob action) on an alleged thief, in advance countries, because a lot of people will end-up in jail, very quickly
undecided

Someone has called his name from the village and he unfortunately responded. This is unfortunate. Moreover, i think Nigerians need to stop, as a matter of necessity the culture of stripping suspects naked. Committing a crime doesn't deprive anybody of their right to personal dignity

Obviously, we are not to take your testimony seriously - it appears it is tainted with MALICE..... as a result of the encounter with your Mum.

But we can change our mind if you can provide concrete EVIDENCE of the bolded.

People cant be condemned just based on your version of the story!
