New Year come around again . .
Im not running from it
neither am I looking toward it
Im just here drifting
floating past my dreams my desires
sinking in my fears

I listened to a song,
"A change is going to come"
and i got real sad
all black and blue
tears too,
thought it would be another year of hopelessness
But I read something else yesterday . .
"obstacles are there to show how much you want something"
Now i like that much better

i feel better, stronger, and more alive
But ive changed.
This year has changed my perspective on people
places,
thoughts
and random things.

Ive been so nice, so caring, so kind
to recieve what ?

Nothing.
Nothing but shattered hearts and broken dreams
But its ok,
I have my head and my physical heart
The rest has washed away

Hopefully,
Never to return . .

Cold inside , like ice

I like it . . it burns and chills
and numbs
till you cant feel the pain anymore


I dont want it
So I avoid it
This time will be a new dawn
No more mister nice guy
or gal
whatever you call it

N is not taking crap from anyone!
N is not trusting anyone
N does not like anyone!


Taking a walk on the dark side, and Im not
coming
back.

I wanna be like you
I wana do the same things
Everybody else does
I want to join in the crowd
Laugh on cue
and cry when prompted


I wanna be like them
Joined in a huddle
all coordinated
marching in twos
beautiful soldiers
on a war with oblivion

Its hard to to be like you
you fancy shoes
shiny buttons
bright white
teeth
looking to rip into
those who dont belong

Looking for me?
Should I join your crew
and betray my indivuality?
Should I become brainwashed?
only to answer yes and no?
Should i be grey matter
in a room of zombies?

Because I know I carry meat
and blood rushes through everr flesh
making it hard to conform but. .
not impossible

Can I be you?
Should I just flow with your crowd?
Do I lose myself for praise
and applause?


But what is really you?
Hidden behind a facade of perfection
what is there
are u the same as me?
but trapped?
unwilling to set free

So I wont sign,
I only have one key
I wont join yall
I cant be one of you
i can only be me.

Babe,like ur poems. I really don't think U should lose faith in humanity,although sometimes it's very tempting to give in to our dark side,cos bad is easier than good. I'd rather U resolved not to be too trusting anymore,that would be more practical.

As for the 2nd poem,U've said it all; U're one of one,please don't get trapped in the crowd mentality.

P.S: I think it would be a good idea if you could start a thread (maybe this one) where you post all your poems, so we your fans don't have to search all over for them. Looking forward to seeing more.

Dat wat pple du say bt 2 me pple dnt change easily wen it's new year bt rather you see new thing in them. Nothin like revolution even evolution is out of their reach nt until dat unforseen circumstances almst take dem dwn to 6fit.
