The national chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Senator Ali Modu Sheriff said the National Working Committee (NWC) of the party has no plans to suspend some of its bigwigs including former President Goodluck Jonathan as being speculated.

He said his regime would not condone impunity and indiscipline in whatever guise, but work towards re-defining the party and giving hope to the ordinary Nigerians.

Speaking through his deputy, Cairo Ojougboh in a telephone interview with Daily Trust last night, the PDP chief said he loves the party and does not wish that its members defect to other political parties.

“We are very particular about the interest of our party. We love the PDP and we are also aware that politics is a game of numbers. “We shall not make the mistake of allowing people leave the party if we can help it but at the same time we shall not condone indiscipline. We have left the door open for all as we fight to re-position the party,” he said.

This man was sleeping peacefully before the likes of Fayose and Wike him up to contest as the party chairman. I find the idea of suspending Jonathan laughable .

Not like he has any relevance in the party though, Sheriff should leave the 'hero' alone. There are more pressing issues plaguing the party, such as rescucitating the dead party and suspending Wike and Fayose

Sheriff is a looser on this. The situation can be related to a whatsapp group where someone will be made a co-admin, he will remove the other admin's and remain the only admin forgetting that the others can easily create another group and abandon the first group for him

Perhaps you read Fayose's article on why he endorsed Sheriff. If you claim that the many PDP problems has been designed from the outset, then perhaps, it is high time you described Fayose and Wike as the architect of failure responsible for the woes of the PDP.

Jonathan clearly has no sense. The little element of heroism was all he had and could have chosen to remain/manage it, but no, he wanted to form elder statesman. He should ask why the likes of Bode George aren't saying a thing about all these.
