Hubby Vows To Divorce Wife over hair style

A man, Mr. Olusegun Adetunji Adeyiga of 13, Sherifatu Close, Ilupeju, Shasha, Lagos has vowed to divorce his wife, Mrs. Temitope Oluwakemi Adeyiga, for barbing her hair against his wish.

Adeyiga who filed a divorce petition against his wife at the Grade ‘B’ Alimosho Customary Court, sitting at Iyana Ipaja, described his wife as an incorrigible woman.

He disclosed that he had almost yielded to the pleas by court officials and family members to suspend his action and give his estranged wife another chance.

He appealed to the court to continue proceedings in the matter since his wife had gone against his wish by having her hair cut.

Mrs. Temitope who showed no sign of remorse told the court that she begged her husband but to no avail.

She said if her husband insisted on the divorce, the court should separate them, adding that she would go on with her life.

Temitope’s mother, Mrs. Ojo, who was in court, confirmed her daughter’s bad behaviour but urged the court court to prevail on Mr. Adeyiga to suspend his action.

Afraid that her daughter would attack her for testifying against her in court, the mother urged the president of the court to warn her not to harass her after the court procceeding.

Ruling on the matter, the court president, Mrs. A. O. Olatunji, who observed that the respondent, Temitope, did not show any sign of remorse, warned her not to harass her mother for testifying against her.

She warned that doing so would amount o contempt of court which is punishable by three months imprisonment. She later adjourned the matter till 4 January, 2010.

May be her hairstyle makes her look gay and he doesn't want people to think his wife is a lesbian or that particular hairstyle may be very unattractive to him so, instead of getting himself entangled with another woman and commit adultery, he can as well divorce the incumbent wife now and be free from seeing the weird hairstyle.

those you listed is even more sound than hairstyle. common now. unless hairstyle is one of the smaller reasons he included, in other words its not the only and first reason for divorce. whats next? divorce someone because the person doesnt wear nice clothes?

The man is a fool. That he can throw aside a Vow made to God for a hairstyle.

Then only acceptable reason for a person to divorce in the bible is because of adultery and then only if the injured person is hurt and unable to forgive. This is the only terms on which a person is free to remarry.

A divorce for any other reason is not binding in Gods eyes and is therefore to remarry after is to commit spiritual adultery.

Again he is a FOOL.
