I spent three weeks in iju/Ita ogbolu last year for my field trip, the geological mapping of the two towns. The people are quite friendly and welcoming but other than that my experience was not pleasant The first week we had masquerades chasing us and down the town when we went out for work especially our ladies and you dare not complain or grumble else you will be given a long list of materials to be used for the atonement of your sins to the dieties The place has no constant power supply I think the only time they enjoy electricity is when their king wants to iron his clothes (that's a joke actually) The only memorable experience I have of the place is climbing the highest mountain (697 meters above sea level) in the village Other than akure, the state capital of ondo state then maybe ondo town, owo, most towns and villages in ondo state are largely undeveloped especially those I've been to |
