In the argument for and against religion, for those for religion, rationality is lost in their faith and for those against religion their rationality is blinded by their dislike for a religion that as kept them in "their" dark for years.

Against religion: My religious brothers don't believe nothing can ever come from nothingness, like the earth must have a God for it to be earth; this is the truth to christians but thinking rationally, A weed that grows from this same earth comes from nothingness and weed in most cases grows to become a forest without the help of a farmer (a GOD). So for christians, if you're looking for evidences from atheist against the argument of a God, you'll never run out of it, that is their believe and every person have what they believe in, it is the what that is different

For religion: We are all different people in the world, no two person are the same person in them, even conjoined twins differ greatly in personality, to think you don't see a reason to believe in God after years of believing is your cup of Garri. However trying to impose you new found "will" on another is being lost in blindness. Have you ever seen a church in prayer or praise, maybe you have or not, but the few I have seen, I have seen men and women immersed in their praise and prayers that I doubt any other endeavor can create such immersion. Even if you are against religion, look at your brother who is so different from you and see the hope, the fulfillment this endeavor brings him or her and see for them for once.

In conclusion: There will always be Christians, Muslims, Atheist, Scientologist, Naturist. As our personalities are different, so his our believes and philosophies, and it's a good thing to try to spread your philosophy in a healthy manner, trying to impose it will be futile at best.

Religious Tolerance is the solution.

Unfortunately religion pitches us against one another. For one religion/denomination to be True, the others must be false and obliterated.
Jews obliterated the Philistines, Babylonians, Canaanites, Egyptians, simply for being of different faiths.
Early Christians were persecuted and nearly obliterated by same Jews but prevailed.
Early Christians likewise obliterated and persecuted other Faiths in the name of "Evangelism." (Our forefathers can attest to this)

Now Islam is still persecuting and obliterating other Faiths especially Christians in the name of propagating it's religion.

So the question is,
Has Religion Done More Harm To The World Than Good?
The answer is an emphatic Yes.

Religionists are quick to ascribe basic morality as one of the good religion has done for mankind, but truly it's society that has taught us morality.
People don't commit crime not because of fear of heaven or hell but because they would get caught punished by jungle justice or the court.

Hence Religion must be scrapped and abolished, Morality and Reason instead should be propagated.

You speak the truth brother, so do I, history is full of examples of cults and charlatans, christianity and moslem is the most successful cult in modern history because of their use of a supreme God as their bases. Even if there is no more christianity or moslem religions for people to follow, another form of a cult will form for people to believe in. Understand this: people always have a need to believe. That said there will always be a of form of religion or cult.

circumcising young girls so their natural Desires never develop,
and killing those who do not agree with corrupt religious philosophies.

It is a fact of life and a result of the mechanisms of Life. There is no such thing as an Atheist that does not do bad things unless he/she learn how to manage their Desires.
