IamaNigerianGuy: Changing the currency would have been the best single option as the military used to do whenever they take power but printing new currency in this tough times is too expensive otherwise Buhari would have since done it. I think Soludo was the last CBN to print new currency but he stole so much that immediately he vacated office PDP sold their Guber ticket for Anambra state to him to the detriment of their other party loyalists and rest is history. 1 Like |

FEDERAL GOVERNMENT SHOULD CHANGED OUR LOCAL CURRENCY. LOOTERS MAY ONLY GET AWAY WITH HARD CURRENCY. IF GOVERNMENT HAS TRULY RECOVERED SOME MUCH CASH FROM LOOTERS, WHY GOING TO CHINA TO BORROW?? WHY NOT SPEND THE RECOVERED CASH TO BOOST THE ECONOMY. COMMON SENSE. GOVERNMENT ALSO REFUSED TO NAME SOME OF THOSE INVOLVED IF THEY ARE CONNECTED |

cashkid: Do you have a better solution sir? Why not share your wisdom? Nigeria successfully changed her currency in 1984; India did the same last year. Even the USA modified their currency and added security features in the early 2000's You evidently do not know your history. I won't pay attention to your gutter language. You must be having a bad day Happy Easter! 2 Likes |

Can somebody tell me what this Buhari Administration has really achieved concerning its 2015 election promises ? And what is this government doing with the looted cash that is being recovered? Why can't this government start looking for ways to keep jobless Nigerians gainfully employed rather than doling out stipends to them every month? NIPOST alone is capable of employing up to 200,000 Nigerians with its network of Branches all over Nigeria. With e-commerce growing in Nigeria and people buying things from online stores in Europe, Asia, America, Canada etc, NIPOST can really become a Multi Billion dollars business by making sure Nigerians receive their Parcels and Orders in their homes no matter where they order them from for a small fee. No matter what people say, this APC Government is very clueless and lethargic in its approach to developing Nigeria. |

This act of burying is a product of our selfishness and greediness. Imagine if those looted fund has been put into job creation venture and people empowerment, it will not have been this same story. All my prayer is that the culprits should face full weight of atoment. And the recovered money put into poverty alleviation programme so as to checkmate the ongoing sufferings in the Society. |

Archaa: No! not useless, but one of the most richest with such recovered loot that wasn't helping the economy in anyway, but just buried away. Do you imagine how much of boom such looted money would have enhanced in the economy if they were made available to the banks? So my Nigeria is not useless, but the looters. Stop condemning my country, rather condemn the looters. |

ephi123:why can't you look beyond partisanship here and call wrong wrong! The discovered funds, was it Buhari that stashed them away? Why do you lots derive pleasure in defending evil? May the good LORD strengthen this administration to recover all looted funds and bring the wicked culprits to justice. |

All what Nigeria needs is just a 'Crazy' but very visionary Postmaster General who will turn the fortunes of NIPOST around without caring whose ox is gored. A Postmaster General that will not hesitate to sack lazy NIPOST workers and replace them with young and hardworking Nigerians who are ready to work and get parcels to Nigerians in their homes. A Postmaster General who will assess all the Post Offices and Postal Agencies in the nooks and crannies of Nigeria, look at the number of vehicles available and start working out how to make the Parastatal profitable without caring who is unhappy with his actions. We are living in a world of international trade where it is possible to buy things online from companies based in different countries of the world. All NIPOST needs to do is to key into this global trade in products and find a way to convince Nigerians to pay some amount of money for their parcels, packages and orders to be delivered to them in their homes. People who have cars can be employed by NIPOST to work as Parcel Delivery Agents on Saturdays and Sundays. NIPOST is leaving so much money on the table that remains to be claimed. Biko, God give our rulers brains to think. Amen. |
