Absolute Garbage showing deep geo-political naivety.

Tell me something. Why has the west not ''partnered'' with Botswana, all these years?

They tick all the right boxes - virtually corruption-free, blessed with huge diamond deposits, a stable, functional political system, a highly educated population, decent infrastructure, and throughout the 80s, 90s and early 2000s, Africa's fastest growing economy.

So? What happened? Why did the west not ''partner'' with them to turn them into another Singapore or South Korea, by pouring investment funds in, and opening up western markets to Botswana manufactures without tariffs?

Of course it never happened. Botswana throughout the last 30+ years, has sent countless trade and investment delegations abroad offering all sorts of concessions for ''partnership'', to no avail. They remain short of capital, and cannot move to the next level of becoming genuine industrial producers.

UNTIL YOU PEOPLE UNDERSTAND THAT THE WEST LONG AGO decided that AFRICA was to be their source of raw materials and nothing else, you will keep losing your way. Until you understand that the west are not your ''friends and brothers'', and ''partners'', but are your RIVALS, and that you need to come together and work in unity as AFRICANS, in order to counter their machinations and schemes, you will keep losing your way.

Go and study the HISTORY of western/African relations. It's been one based on economic exploitation. THEY do not intend to see that stop, as it has benefited them hugely. Why do you think they are involved in the assassination of African leaders? Like Thomas Sankara, Patrice Lumumba, Murtala Muhammed etc? Such progressive leaders are a threat to their 'established order' of African dependency. YOU need to understand the game. Because right now YOU, as Africans, are being played.

You need to rid yourself of the notion that the blame for the west's behaviour lies on you. That if you were somehow 'better' - less corrupt, with better infrastructure etc etc, that the west will ''take you serious''. This shows a total lack of understanding of the impulses driving western hegemony. THEIR SUCCESS is almost directly tied to your having those ''problems''. So they will fight tooth and nail to ENTRENCH and EXACERBATE those problems in your societies. This is why they have historically supported African autocrats, dictators, and kleptocrats like Mobutu, Obiang, IBB and co.

So if you cannot understand that their reasoning is wholly economic and strategy based, you will keep seeing yourself as their ''partner'' while they kick your backside at every turn. Wake up!!!

Who told you the west does not partner with botswana? Have you seen any western government say a single bad word about botswana or enforce austerity economics on it?
Have you seen the west trying to decide for botswana? An emphatic NO. And i hope you know botswana is not anti-western like many of these shitty countries try to become because they have a few dollars in their national account and want to be popular.
Botswana is tourism oriented. They are not a tech-inclined nation and you don't expect the west to partner with them on that level.
You are just spouting inferiority complex theories. Get your shitt right and people will take you serious.

DUDE, Indians are POORER THAN AFRICANS!!!!

http://www.primepost.in/more-poor-in-india-than-africa/

They have a growing industrial sector, but poverty, illiteracy, and underdevelopment still affect hundreds of millions of Indians.

The only reason the west ''respects'' India is simply because it is a huge country with a 1.3 billion population, and a single central govt, which represents a massive market. They can't afford to antagonize a govt that rules over 1.3 billion people.

If India was like Africa - split into 50 'independent' nations, all the west would do is what they do in Africa. Pick and choose where to invest, and ignore, sabotage the others etc. So they have a very different strategic relationship with India.

If Africa became a Single country like India, THAT would make a huge change. The west would be FORCED to ''respect'' Africa, because that would mean 1.2 billion people plus all the continent's resources, under a single govt. They could never afford to antagonize that govt, and would similarly concede to its demands for technology transfer, like they did with India. So yes, size bequeaths power.

Biafra would be like Sierra Leone or Liberia, who also have natural resources, but are used as a playground for western corporate interests. Too small to matter.

[b]India is poor ofcourse, when you compare their GDP/CAPITAL, because they have more than a billion people under their care.
It will take a lot of wealth to produce a luxemborg level of prosperity for all indians which in my opinion is going to be very dfficult. Even a progressive government will find it a uphill task to cater for such humongous populations adequately.
But that is trying to mask the real fact that india is now a manufacturing and tech giant. Her contribution to the world is astounding and that commands respect.
And no , it is not just due to population. Population is just for cheap labour and that is all.
You can have a very large unskilled population and it won't help you at all. Infact one of the reasons why india is still poor despite the wealth they generate is because of the overpopulation. It is more of a curse than a blessing to them.
You don't need to be populous to be relevant.
Apart from the US, china, Russia and India, the top 10 most relevant nations in the world are not populous at all. They have relatively small populations.
And you don't even need to be relevant to be prosperous like botswana and luxemborg has shown. Their very low populations has ensured enough wealth is available to go round and they are respected by the world.

What's the population and size of Israel?

You see, it's one thing to oppose Biafra, nothing wrong with it, but it's another to make concrete arguments against.

For goodness sake, Israel serves a totally different geopolitical purpose to global power than any African country does. Israel is an artificial state that was deliberately installed in the Middle East after ww2 for strategic western reasons. She receives the sort of funding and military/technological support from the west that no African nation ever has. I mean, you don't just name these countries without understanding the fundamentals behind their existence. Stop examining geopolitical issues like a three year old.

Use your brain for once in your life. If Botswana is solely "tourism oriented", why have they been seeking industrial investment partners for the last 30+ years? What does a western government "saying a single bad word" about them have to do with anything? I mean, your points are just full of ignorance. And it is you suffering from inferiority complex, as you see your progress as being tied to becoming a client state/stooge of the west. And you stubbornly refuse to accept the exploitative economic underpinnings of the west's relationship with Africa, which makes you a prime candidate for further abuse and exploitation, masked as "partnership".

I mean, I see so much foolishness in the Biafran camp, it's unbelievable. You have this undying trust and love for the west, yet the west was the prime reason Biafra lost the civil war. They REFUSED to help. They sold Nigeria all the weapons she needed to crush the rebellion. Yet today, we still have Biafrans raising placards in London, demonstrating in Washington and New York, appealing to the same west to support their secessionist quest. Counting on Donald Trump to help them. It's so embarrassing. When will you people learn? Your main problem is you don't study history. You don't study other nations, and their motivations. Their objectives. You base everything on skin colour and wealth. They are white and rich, so they are good, and your "friends". Period.

You reason like children in a world of hardened strategists. It's really pathetic. If you need a strategic partnership to help actualise your secessionist goals, the west is the last place you should be looking at for that partnership. It will serve you much better to partner countries like China, Iran, Japan, North Korea, etc. THEY have no history of abusing, enslaving, or colonising you. Or looting your resources. Yet you ignore them, and rush to the west, who have such a history. You are like the proverbial abused wife, who keeps returning to her violent husband after successive beatings, despite appeals by her relatives to leave. When will you cure yourselves?
