*Topic:* FIFTY-FIFTY AND THRIFTY-THRIFTY!
*Read:* PROVERBS 31:10-31

*MEMORISE:* _She does him good and not evil all the days of her life._ *(Proverbs 31:12)*

*EXPOSITION*
Women from around the world are striving hard for gender equality. Albeit, in the holy wedlock, God equivocally wants women to obey and respect their husbands while the husbands, who are to in turn cherish, love, care for and adore their wives *(Ephesians 5:22-26)*.

Modern-day women want everything shared equally, between them and their male counterparts, politically, educationally, socially, etc. Bringing this down to Christian home has always proved counter-productive, because it contradicts the Bible *(Ephesians 5:33)*. When women claim fifty-fifty in all things, at home, with their husbands, do they also accept thrifty-thrifty? That is, sharing all incomes and liabilities equally! Many women opt against this.

This is unbecoming of the Christian home. It ought to be paradise on earth, where the wife submits totally to the husband, and the latter governs the home with grace and mercy, not as a taskmaster or dictator, knowing that Jesus Christ is his Head *(Ephesians 5:29)*. Meanwhile, the husband must not abuse the privilege of having a God-fearing woman, who submits totally, in all things, to him. Your marriage can work like this, if you choose to work towards it. The virtuous woman portrayed in *Proverbs 31*, is never the Fifty-Fifty type. Rather, it is evidenced that she selflessly and sacrificially works for the benefit of the home. Peace be unto your home, in Jesus name. Amen

*1.* Father, help my home to be Your paradise on earth.
*2.* Lord, help me to never be selfish with my spouse and children.
*3.* Lord, help Christians all over, to realise that life is not always about getting everything, but giving, especially giving back to God.
