At least one of d two unis that have one in Nigeria is a Christian university(Covenant university)

Which type of lab does covenant university have? A start up (computer) lab or science lab and workshop? Even though I will even commend the university if they have fully functional computer labs with the latest hardware and software technologies, the problem is the university will still choke the students with religious activities. Creating new innovative ideas and products takes months if not years of dedication including sleepless nights, Nigerian students do not have that level of time and dedication.
Now a science lab is another ball game, you require much more dedication to make a scientific breakthrough. Thomas Edison tried over 2000 times before he was able to invent the light bulb. Shuji Nakamura spent close to 10 years before he could invent blue LED, making possible the creation of white LED that is used today in TVs and large screen displays apart from LED light bulbs. Can covenant university have the time for actual research when religious duties take up most of their free time?

You may have a point about the free time being used for religious activity. But religious activities doesn't represent a bulk of the time spent in CU. However, CU has all kinds of labs from reverse engineering lab to software delopment labs to incubation hubs(though most of them were set up this year). I also believe there is enough time for a CU student to engage in research work. But unfortunately most are only running after a first class which leaves the research work to PG students and Lecturers mainly.

Have the Enterpreneurship Development Centers across the schools in Nigeria yielded any positive impact?

It only depends on our educational system to bring these changes. We too should be ready to pay for this.

I like what you said about running after a first class, nothing can be more true! Most of our students are made to chase first class at the expense of every other thing, which is bad. Very few people understand the place of experimentation. Such a system can make people dodge trials because they fear failure like bubonic plague!
