The race for Premier League title intensified few weeks back as Chelsea lead points dropped to four, following the Spurs ability to maintain winning series, thereby closing the gap on Chelsea. Courtesy of loses to Crystal Palace and Manchester United respectively.

It could be rightly observed that Chelsea had played six games without Diego Costa hitting the back of the net to further assist Chelsea in the Premier League title race, and his longest goal drought since his arrival from Atletico Madrid in 2014.

From the events of Tuesday night football at Stamford Bridge, if Diego Costa is back among the goals, then spurs should look elsewhere, more so,

Chelsea have had opportunity of having Eden Hazard in form as well as Diego Costa this season, but the both have hardly hit fiery forms at the same time this season like they are proving to establish at the moment. Should this spark be anything to go bye, Tottenham’s title hope is then a mirage, because the combination of these duo in fiery form could spell an outright nightmare to whoever tends to beat them to the Premier League title.

The combination of Costa and Hazard’s efforts gave birth to Eden Hazard’s fifth minute goal, an assist Costa rendered last against Manchester City in September last year.

Oriol Romeu and Ryad Bertrand got equaliser and late minute goal for the saints, all of Chelsea origin.

Diego Costa’s first goal of the night was his 50th Premier League goal in 85 league appearances, he got there quicker.

Chelsea now lead with seven points, laying in wait for Tottenham to play against Crystal Palace on Wednesday night.
