I am taking a free course on Web Design and Web Development. Even though I am on scholarship but the cost is quite high. That is the reason I want to know why professional courses in ICT especially are very expensive?

If you look at the educational sector in the country, you will realize that despite the amount we have spent just to gain a BS.C, we are not even guaranteed a job after schooling.
Some people decide to go for a masters, but currently the Master's cert is becoming just like a senior school certificate and it is getting saturated.

Companies hire professionals not those that "THINK" they know it. Taking a professional course in a booming job sector like the IT sector is just the best escape route out of unemployment

A professional course makes you a professional at something specific, while a degree only certifies that you went to school.

Keep a graduate of Computer science and keep a IT professional in Programming, who would you choose as your first choice?
