The Nigeria Union in South Africa said, Mr Chinedu Eze, was killed by a Somalian at Belleville, Cape Town. The cellular and electronics vendor was shot dead on April 25th, 2017. He is survived by a young daughter, Ijeoma.

The Chairman of the union in Cape Town, Mr Mike Ibitoye, who confirmed the incident said that the 35-year-old was shot during an argument over cell phone.

He said : "Reports at our disposal said that on the fateful day, there was an argument between him and Somali man inside a car.The Somalian reportedly shot him three times, and when he ran out of the car, he shot him six times again, leading to his death,”

Ibitoye said that the incident happened at Bellview area of Cape Town, a place dominated Somalians.

He said: "The incident has been reported to the South African Police. The Police has commenced investigation, but we are not aware if the assailant has been arrested,"

Mr Adetola Olubajo, Secretary of the Union, said “the national body of the union has informed the Nigerian mission in South Africa.

Mr Adetola Olubajo said: "We appeal to Nigerians in the Western Cape Province to remain peaceful and law abiding. The Mission is on top of the situation. The union equally appeals to the Federal Government to ensure that the welfare of Nigerians in South Africa are protected,"

What other thing do I know about Igbos outside Nigeria? I know about Chiwetel Ejiofor, a highly rated actor in Hollywood. I know about Chinua Achebe an acclaimed writer and philosopher. I know about Jayjay Okocha a world class footballer. I know the names of enough Igbo achievers to fill a phone book twice over.
What do I know about South Africa? I know its the rape capital of the world and that AIDS is the leading cause of death. I know South African men will rape a goat if they saw it wearing a skirt. I know the most accomplished South African is a man whose claim to fame is spending 27 years in jail.
How's that for knowledge?

A drug deal gone bad is an alluring interpretation but there is no evidence for that , unless you know something about this particular case we don't

Exactly as I thought. So now because I'm saying exactly what everyone knows happened but don't wanna spit out, I am a South African? I give up.

You know all those over achievers but the fact remains, I also know what I know, same as the whole world does.

Now we have soneone who atleast doesnt deny the possibilities. The only thing i know is that everyone around that area has no clue about this incident and those that have it are all nigerians. Call anyone you might know who is not nigerian. With that, it goes to show....
