Pertaining to that lilliboy or so, am amazed an adult can be so vulgar and uncouth. I mean, not everyone will always agree with your opinion but why call people imbeciles just cos they shares contrary opinion? Even if a child does that, he ought to be reprimanded how much more a so called adult

I pity the woman that will marry him.
At least, you made no point than being more stupid. Marry him? Is that all you know in your virus-infected brain? I pity more the (wo)man that will marry an IMBECI*E like you. Pitiable.

For your information, I never got an email inviting me for the EPT up till this very moment.

What Woulda been my faith if I followed your advice and resigned to faith?

Look at me, I came out with an impressive score!
What exactly did you write there because it seems you are contradicting yourself? You never got a mail for the EPT to this day, yet you still did the Test by not heeding to my advice. Did I advise you or anyone else NOT to go sit for the exam or what? Check yourself if you are okay!

You've made your point.

To add to it:

1. If you're able to generate acceptance invoice BY LOGGING IN WITH YOUR USERNAME AND PASSWORD ( and not by manipulating the URL with your "ID number), you have been recommended. The "NON REFUNDABLE" clause only applies to students who do not wish to continue with the admission offered them.
2. If you got a mail stating that you have been recommended by your department but you needed to upload invisible documents, please that mail was sent indiscriminately to almost everyone in error but was targeted to ONLY THOSE WHO WERE RECOMMENDED PRIOR TO THE MAIL.

3. The only sure ways to know if you have been recommended is the congratulatory email from your department stating your supervisor and your application status showing "RECOMMENDED" in your portal. If you received the congratulatory message without your application status being updated to "RECOMMENDED" or vice versa, do not worry, it's a technical hitch- you've been recommended.
4. If no 3 above is true for you and your admission letter has not been prepared but you can generate the acceptance invoice (NOT ACCEPTANCE FORM),then you have been offered admission and you can make payment. The letter will surely come. Not everybody's letter will be ready at the same time.
5. If your admission letter comes before you pay acceptance (Which is very possible and which should have been the norm save for a few glitches), good for you. You can make your payment.
6.If you can see your admission letter on your portal by clicking the link and not by manipulating the URL, congratulations
7 @ Lilliesman Lilliesboy, you can drive home your point without being insulting. Nobody here is righteous including you. If you feel your "intelligence" has been insulted, do you massage it by calling people !mbeciles?

The worst feeling is when you finish insulting people and you realize that your argument is flawed with a lot of fallacies grin

It's my OPINION and I can be wrong. What do I know. Afterall, my department (Electrical engineering) has not recommended me neither has anybody from my dept been recommended.
If it is YOUR OPINION, why do you have an issue with MY OPINION? Are you the one to dictate or set the rules on HOW or WHERE to express my opinion?
ALL the persons I have responded to in very "insultive" ways (in YOUR OPINION) definitely DESERVE it in MY own OPINION!

"...ENTIRELY on her/his OWN" means what it means. You did not get the invitation mail, does not that mean you were on your own as you had to do "whatever" to still sit for the Test? You should know.

RESUMPTION OF ACADEMIC ACTIVITIES

I have received numerous WhatsApp messages from students, parents, guardians, Alumni/Alumnae and friends of the University of Ibadan on arrangements for resumption of academic activities when it was becoming obvious that the dates fixed earlier might be unrealistic.

BACKGROUND
Only about two thirds of the newly admitted students who had accepted their admission have been cleared as of Thursday, 12 April 2018. The problems encountered are being sorted out and this stage will be concluded by middle of next week. It then became inevitable to postpone the resumption of new students by a week.

SITUATION REPORT

Consequent upon the above, Senate met on Friday, 13 April 2018, and approved as follows:

New students will now resume on Sunday 22 April.
To start lectures on Monday 30 April.
Matriculation Ceremony will hold on Friday 4 May, 2018.

Returning Students will now resume Sunday, 6 May 2018.
To Start Lectures Monday, 7 May 2018.

The Committee of Provost, Deans and Directors will consider the remaining part of the Academic calendar for the 2017/2018 Session, for approval by Senate. It is reckoned that, barring any further disruptions in academic activities, the new session should be concluded by February 2019. It is imperative for all of us to cooperate with Management to ensure that this is realised.

It may be pointed out for the records that within the first 24 hours of hosting the payment portal (Thursday 12 April 2018), a total of 410 new students had paid their Accommodation Fees.

No reduction in the Accommodation Fees was entertained by Senate. However, the vast majority of the student population, totalling 70%, who are not entitled to hostel accommodation are encouraged to seek cheaper or free alternatives to staying in the Halls of Residence.

Fees payable by students of the College of Medicine were reviewed downwards by Senate.

The lowest now is #20,000 for students of Biochemistry and Physiology. Students in these programmes have to undertake independent research projects, especially during their final year.

Environmental Health Science and Human Nutrition (200 level: 50,000; 300 and 400 Levels: 70,000).

MB, BS; BDS; Physiotheraphy; Nursing; Medical Laboratory Science: Preclinical: 70,000
Clinical; 85,000

Meanwhile, Senate expressed its utter dismay, surprise and disappointment with the actions and in-actions of students of the College of Medicine resident in Alexander Brown Hall for their refusal to obey instructions of the University Senate to vacate their Hall for nearly four days while demarketing the institution and over-dramatising their protests on the social, print and electronic media. Senate further noted that this was unprecendented in the 70-year chequered history of the College of Medicine, University of Ibadan!

Thank you.

The postgraduate school is very insensitive and disorganised. They lack cohesion . Tell me why a department as big as Electrical engineering is yet to send a single mail as regards to their admission status?
While other departments are getting recommendations and printing their admission letters, EEE has left their students in a confused state of uncertainty.

Please this is a postgraduate school and not some random primary school in the thickest of Ijebu Ode. We deserve information to douse the tension that has been erupting in us.
Every minute of the day, I refresh my portal and email hoping to see a new update.
