Google Map? Does it has a boat for over or close to a Million people, while they are crossing the sea The Egyptian will caught up with them.

But you thread doesn't make sense. Think about it your self, crossing a distant sea by leg, fighting wars, walking with kids and women with infants all in six days haba!

I've always wondered of his choice of route.

But let's not forget that the Egypt of those days was not the same as today's Egypt in terms of geography and size. Those people likely travelled from somewhere in the current Sudan.
