TOPIC: BE ZEALOUS FOR GOD
BIBLE READING: ROMANS 12:9-13
MEMORISE: Not lagging in diligence, fervent in spirit, serving the Lord. (Romans 12:11-12)

God has always been diametrically opposed to slothfulness/laziness. His command is that we should never be lacking in zeal/diligence. Instead, we are to keep spiritual fervency as we keep serving the Lord. All of these require nothing but conscious efforts to be up and doing in the affected areas (Rom. 12:11-13).
It is God’s expectation and command that each one should use whatever gift he has received, to serve others, faithfully administering God’s grace in its various forms. If anyone speaks, he should do it as one speaking the very words of God. If anyone serves, he should do it with the strength that God provides, so that in all things, God may be praised, through Jesus Christ. To Him be the glory and the power forever. Amen.
What Paul is saying is that whatever we can do to serve, teach, preach, wait on tables, clean, usher people into God’s presence, visit, or counsel, we need to do it the best way we can. We need to show some zeal in our services for Christ and His Kingdom.
You have seen people at work. Some work steadily and efficiently, and get their works done in quality time, while some others have to be pushed to get them to do anything. The difference is zeal/passion for such works. How zealous are you in God’s work? How well do you motivate others to be zealous for Him? Being rightly zealous for God is highly rewarding.

PRAYER POINTS:
1. Lord, renew my strength and zeal to work for You.
2. Oh Lord, give me zeal to win more souls for You.
3. Lord, help the members of the different groups in our Church to be more passionate about fulfilling Your purpose in the societies.
