Two people were confirmed dead, while eight others injured on Thursday in an accident along Ilo-Awela Street, on the Tollgate area of Sango-Ota, Ogun State. The Commander of the Federal Road Safety Corps, Ota unit, Mr. Adekunle Oguntoyinbo, disclosed this. He said the accident involving two buses was caused by brake failure. He said the brakes of one of the buses, a Lagos commercial bus, failed, and it rammed into another bus at the toll station, after which it ran over two people at the bus stop. He said one of the victims died nmmediately, while the other died on the way to a hospital. The commander explained that the bodies of the victims had been deposited in the morgue of the Ota General Hospital, adding that the injured were treated in the same hospital. Oguntoyinbo advised the drivers to ensure their vehicles were in good condition before they took them to the road.
