A few days ago, I received a text that my NIN ID card I registered for in 2014 was ready for collection. I was expected to come pick it up the next day.
I proceeded to the office the next day. To cut a long story short, I was rudely shocked when the officer in charge said it would cost #300 naira to pick it up.
I told him that if it was a required fee, it would have been included in the message. I refused to pay and as I stood up to leave, he called me back and processed it and gave me.
My question is, is the 300 naira the fee from the federal government to receive your national ID card?
