The Senate has received a letter from President Muhammadu Buhari confirming that he would stay away on a medical vacation in London indefinitely.

The letter dated 5th May, 2017 which was read by the Senate President, Dr Bukola Saraki explained that his medical trip duration will depend on his medical advice from his doctors.

Raising through order 43, Senator Mao Ohabunwa drew the attention of the Senate, stating that there was no provision of coordinating anything on behalf of Mr. President.

Mao expressed concern that Buhari’s letter ought to have been that of transmitting power to his Vice President as acting President.

Senate leader, Ahmed Lawan urged that he should be ruled out of order, noting that Mr President has done what was in tandem with the 1999 Constitution as amended.

“Mr. Senate President, I don’t think we need to waste our time on this motion, the Constitution is very clear on issues like, I therefore called that my colleagues be ruled out of order,” Ahmed said.

In his ruling, Senate President, Dr Bukola Saraki ruled him out of order, saying the letter from Mr. President was in line with the Constitution.

He will receiving salary, abi?

The truth is that the cabals want to keep dabbling with power until 2019 or close to next to it, so that the VP will not have enough time to campaign or contest for the presidential election. That way, they can field their own candidate and return power to the North.

Note that as long as the President keeps handing over to the Vice, the vice can never have full control of power. He is incapacitated in many ways, to take major decisions he must dialog with the president cabals. And he must at all times show loyalty to his boss. If he tries otherwise, they will uproot him!

Mind you, if President Buhari recontests for next election, he will most likely most likely pick another VP, to keep that position in check! And also, that way, he will have a more loyal, less-informed person under him for the next 4 years.

My humble submission sha

The vegetable is gone! Good riddance to bad rubbish. His absence is of more economic value than his presence.

The worst thing that can happen to a political leader is for your nation to record socioeconomic and political progress in your absence than in your presence. In my culture its an ARU!!!

Inasmuch as I understand d fact that we are all humans and so prone to sickness anytime.....I think it will be wise if the ruling party is setting machineries in place to either replace PMB with another northerners for 2019 or the VP continue his term and finish it up....We should know that the status of the health of Mr President affects the nation directly or indirectly....

So , The letter didn't even made mention of Handing over to VP, which means the Acting President don't even have the full power to do everything.... Then someone brought the issue up , The born to rule northerners discard it.. SMH for this Country...

The president is ready to do the right thing, but some CABALS benefiting from him being in power will never want him to resign or the doctors are still giving him hope that there is solution to his present ailments. No matter the state of his health the president is expected to do whatever is in the best interest of the nation. Mr President should know that his health is very important so is the economy also very important. God bless Nigeria.
