The rich men in your region deposit money for worship, they gain happiness with the amount of money, rich men here utilize their money in investment, not bank savings despite all this thrash you posted, south east is still the poorest regions in the southern Nigeria according to world bank http://www.worldbank.org/en/country/nigeria/publication/nigeria-economic-report-improved-economic-outlook-in-2014-and-prospects-for-continued-growth-look-good

Poverty was least dominant in the Southwest (49.8%), South-South (55.5%), and South-East regions (59.5%).

ANAMBRA STATE, The Economic Heartbeat of Nigeria – Prof Yemi Osibanjo

In the just concluded Project Tour and the Anambra State Town Hall Meeting with the Vice President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Prof Yemi Osibanjo and the Minister for Women Affairs and Social Development, Sen. Aisha Al Hassan as well as the Minister for Employment and Productivity, Sen. Dr Chris Nwabueze Ngige; members of the National Assembly and host of members of the presidential working team, the Vice President described Anambra as the most productive state in Nigeria in terms of indigenous industries and commerce.

He noted that the visit marks his second since the inception of their administration and his first project tour in the state. He disclosed that the tour was necessitated by Governor Willie Obiano’s appeal for the federal government’s visits cum inspection as well as finding palliatives for the challenges facing investors in the current economic situation in the nation; Prof Yemi Osibanjo further extolled Governor Willie Obiano’s exemplary leadership in the state especially for his efforts towards ameliorating the sufferings of the poor masses in the unfortunate era of economic tribulations assuring the people that conservative efforts are already being put in place to wrestle the ugly situation.
He enumerated the various opportunities the federal government has mapped out for women, youths and the impaired urging the people to queue in to harness these golden opportunities.
“whenever we hear about Anambra State, it is always the best of news… It’ll always be news about people who are serious and determined, and who are diligent in whatever they do”
“I hope to be back… I’ve seen the great things that are happening here, I’ve seen the flyovers that the governor has built. I really congratulate him and thank him for great work that he is doing, and for a very good partnership that he has been offering us… I’ll be back very soon” – VP Osibanjo
The Vice President who first toured the various cities in the state visiting the various factories in Onitsha and Nnewi expressed satisfaction with the level of development and opportunities being generated in the state showing optimism that the Willie Obiano’s blueprint be exported to other parts of the country as he humorously added “I have given your alert governor my phone number so that I can also get alerts and enjoy the good things you people enjoy in Anambra”
Speaking earlier in the event, the host, Governor Willie Obiano thanked the Vice President for harkening to his calls and coming to identify with Ndi Anambra, especially the investors battling to sustain their businesses with the economic situation. He reassured Ndi Anambra of his commitment towards alleviating the impact of recession on them through his ban on taxation for market women, traders and other businesses within the state, and his prompt payment of salaries assuring the civil servants of their salary before Christmas which would go with a bag of rice each.
Very unfortunately, none of our senators were present to receive the Vice President of Nigeria in Anambra state, but the APGA Member at the House of Representatives, Hon Ferdinand Dozie Nwankwo who led some of his colleagues… More reason why it is important that Chief Dr Victor Umeh OFR, Ohamadike Ndigbo is sent to the senate because he will not only attract the presence of the federal government but always identify with the state governor in receiving them and putting them to work in their suitable positions. He is not political bias…

2017 SWOT Analysis : Ingredients for the New Start-up State

Wealth creation in the world will continue to be driven by skills and technology. Old money –based on brick and mortar – especially derived from low value-adding activities (rents, primitive accumulation, informal/underground and criminal economy, and wealth from primary commodities) will continue to suffer rapid destruction and replacements. As mega cities emerge; populations moving faster than before, and ICT/ robotics replacing much of human labour, only those who PLAN, and continuously innovate and adapt will survive.

Is Anambra fit for purpose to prosper in the evolving world? Anambra state, with 4,887 sq km of land mass, is Nigeria’s second smallest state (after Lagos state— It also has the second highest population density after Lagos state. With 60% urbanization rate (again, second only to Lagos), Anambra will, over the next 50 years, no doubt become one mega city—with a population approaching 20 million! It is strategically located to become a commercial and industrial hub—with boundaries with the North through Kogi, South-South through Delta and Rivers, and the South East through Abia, Imo and Enugu.

Its latest population estimate is over 5 million (10thmost populous state in Nigeria). It is estimated however that over 50% of Anambra indigenes (perhaps more than another 5 million people) live outside of the state— in other states in Nigeria as well as outside of Nigeria (all constitute the Greater Diaspora), whereas the state attracts a diversity of immigrants from all over Nigeria and the world. Anambra is indeed a home for all. In literally every village, ‘non-indigenes’ are becoming a significant share of population at home— especially those hired as security guards, and Okada drivers. Onitsha, Nnewi, Ekwulobia, Otuocha, Ihiala, Umunze, Awka, etc. have become rapidly urbanized. In 2006, there several foreigners but Chinese are fast making Anambra a home, with estimated over 400 of them in the state. There are now several institutions in Anambra where Chinese language is taught to thousands of enthusiastic Anambra people.
Anambra’s economy is probably 4th among the states – after Lagos, Abuja, and Rivers. Currently the majority of the population are engaged in distributive trade, agriculture, transport and services, real estate and construction, micro, small, medium and Large industries, mining, financial services, and other services (health, education, law, etc.) Onitsha was and perhaps still is, the largest commercial market in West Africa. The natural resources include: natural gas, Crude oil, Bauxite, Kaolin, Salt, Gypsum, Lead, Lignite, Limestone, Iron ore, is arable for Oil palm, Corn, Rice, Yam, Cassava, Tomatoes, cocoyam, etc. Tourism potentials remain untapped. Adult literacy is over 80% and there are five universities (soon up to seven), a polytechnic and two colleges of education in the state.

A noteworthy feature of Anambra state at the moment is that it is a net exporter of capital. A large proportion of its most talented/skilled indigenes live outside of the state, while a larger proportion of invertible capital is deployed outside of the state. Poverty incidence in Anambra used to be the lowest mainly because of remittances by its Diaspora. Access to bank credit is relatively low. For example Anambra has the 4thlargest bank deposit (after Lagos, Abuja, and Rivers) but the size of bank loans granted to businesses in Anambra is a very small proportion of the deposits

Don't worry I have enough in my arsenal, I demanded list of ingenious industries in Afonja land
since yesterday, as treachery tribe grin they started creating treads about IGR grin they all took off, they are busy dancing azonto on their IGR threads one of them jetlee even using five handles, but failed to appear here grin they failed to understand that eastern industrial states their governments find it difficult to tax indigenous industries and others, lazy tribe will not understand because they rely on foreigners and other tribes, they can't nurture business, so many industries acquired during Awo wicked policies are no more, we had several cases on difficulties to tax our people, firt riot in Nigeria Aba women riot because of tax, OMATA tax protest in Onitsha years back, and so many others, gov Obiano received many criticisms from Anambra business communities and captains of industries when he tried to tax them in 2015, there are lots of difference between east and west large percentage of ours are indigenous theirs are foreigners and other tribes, it doesn't change the fact we are fourth largest economy after Lagos, Rivers and FCT, leading in education, providing infrastructures without indebting our state, best in health care, good roads network, pay salaries, mansions in every nooks and crannies in the east, while brown roof dotted their landscape, with their high IGR they recorded high in suicide cases in Nigeria, most indebted and five southwestern states are owing salaries, then what's the essence of high IGR

Penniless region claiming bank deposition grin why are your region that poor than other southern region http://www.worldbank.org/en/country/nigeria/publication/nigeria-economic-report-improved-economic-outlook-in-2014-and-prospects-for-continued-growth-look-good

More than average of your population are still in poverty , then what the essence of your cash deposits despite your low population. Poverty was least dominant in the Southwest (49.8%), South-South (55.5%), and South-East regions (59.5%).

Why are you arguing with that one? All their claims of being the most industrious tribe in Nigeria have all been exposed.
