Earlier today I was at LIFEMATE furniture show room at the palms Lekki to enquire about a service I paid for that wasn't attended to. I was then asked by a junior staff (Nigerian) to speak to his "OGA" (a Chinese man). The Chinese man paid me no attention when I approached him with my concerns, he rather walked away as I was still trying to make my concerns known to him. So I followed up to say his attitude was unacceptable and then proceeded to leave the shop since he wasn't going to pay me any attention or courtesy as a returning customer. As I was walking out the door I heard someone scream, I turned my back, only for me to see the Chinese man running towards me with two knives. But for the quick intervention of my cousin the story would have been different.
I handed him over to the police who then transferred him to Maroko police station and he was asked why he wanted to stab me and he said Cos I said "see this Chinese man o".

Anyways God got me covered Physically and spiritually

Bruh stop being ignorant. Thousands pf nigerians suffer from depression, do u think ppl just up n be like lemme see what death looks like and then jump into lagoons or hang themselves?
About Ptsd, manifests itself in different forms, some might act out violently, others might become withdrawn, americans(generally abroad) have higher access to guns and thats why u get to hear school shootings and other stuff more, that, and their news networks actually broadcast important stuff and emergency news of that sort.
Here in naija some commit suicide, some become violent and beat up other ppl and threaten others with their authority(guns), and these things don't make the news in nigeria as u know. Sometimes u hear soldiers shooting civilians to death, it might be ptsd too(not saying it is always ptsd). There are many ways they might act out.
Im just trying to tell u that if u see a person getting blown to pieces(or killed in general), im not talking a random stranger(even random strangers sef jhoor), i mean somebody that might have been gisting with u and sharing his hopes for the future and how he misses his family, then that image will haunt u for the rest of ur life.

Btw we are talking about naija, mental illnesses are almost never reported and so an ex soldier that begins acting weird will just be taken to church or baba, it will never reach a shrink to know what is going on with him.

Truth is lots of nigerians walk around with depression and many ex soldiers that have fought in the frontline walk around with ptsd, instead of claiming that blacks have strong mind, we should try and identify ppl like this and help them cos, No matter the color of skin, except death is what u grew up to see everyday, even with that sef, experiencing the evils of death and/or war will never leave u the same.
And as for depression, many things can happen to you that make u lose the will to live. Dont think less of ppl that suffer from depression and ptsd, that could easily have been u or me.
