Don't know about the two but the important invention of Mankind is MONEY.



Money revolutionised the very essence of human endeavour. It is at the heart of every other invention.

With its major qualities of store of value, unit of account and medium of exchange, it moved man from a subsistent hunter-gatherer to every other activity that over time gave rise to other key inventions like internet, electricity etc.

I think it's a Mirror. Prior to the invention of the Mirror, humans couldn't know how exactly they looked like. They could see themselves partially through mediums like water, polished metal stones etc. Isn't it astonishing we can now see our ears? Are we supposed to?

Papa came back from house very tired.
He had worked tirelessly in the office.
He opened the door and saw no one in the living room.
''Where are these people?'', he said to himself.
He went straight into his room, dropped his office bag and came back to the living room.

Mama was still cooking in the kitchen.
Minutes later, she came out of the kitchen.
She joined Papa in the living room.

Technology may be one of the best-ever innovations made by men.
In fact, technology has made life easier for us.
Imagine if mobile phone had not been made. We would have to go through the stress of posting via the post offices.
But today, with a phone call or message, we can easily and quickly communicate with our loved ones.
This is only a minute case of how well technology has improved life.
But, if it is not managed in the proper way, it can easily be a tool of destruction.
It is capable of reducing or totally killing off the closeness that exists between family members.
It creates huge distance between loved ones who are only a room apart from eachother.
It slowly makes familiar relatives become ''strangers''.
Many members of the same family no longer have time to discuss again.
When the father and mother are silently watching the news, and the children are busy operating their phones, how will the time for conversation be created?
It is indeed high time we all thought about how well we manage the time we use on technology-produced items.
That phone you are always glued to will not run away from you.
That laptop you are often pressing will not disapper if you stop operating it.
The news you daily watch on the television are not as important as your family members.
Then, why not sit down and re-schedule your time in a way that you can strengthen the bond that binds you and your relatives?
Now that you still have them around, find more time to discuss with them.
Electronic gadgets are non-living things that you have total dominance over.
Don't allow them become dictators in your life.
Technology has been invented to serve a positive purpose.
Don't let it influence you negatively.
Control it or else; it will control you!
