The President Muhammadu Buhari led administration has been faced with a lot of challenges since they came into power on 29th May 2015. However, Mr. President has been facing health issues due to his old age. Science has proven that, as you grow older, the efficacy of the body system will deteriorate. This is exactly what is happening to our dear President. Our dear President has been traveling out of the country for medical checkups, and treatment since he came into office. A question on everybody’s lips still is, Does Mr. President has the time to run the country?

The Vice-President of the federal Republic of Nigeria, Prof. Yemi Osinbajo runs the affairs of the country whenever “Baba”, as Mr. President is fondly called, is out of the country. However, 90% of Nigerians have given kudos to the vice-president for the smooth running of the country. Nigerians must know that ruling a country is a very difficult task, especially when it is the GIANT OF AFRICA.

The questions on the lips of every Nigeria citizen and foreigner are, WHY DOES MR. PRESIDENT KEEP LEAVING HIS COUNTRY FOR MEDICAL TREATMENTS? CAN’T HE DO THAT IN HIS COUNTRY? ARE NIGERIAN DOCTORS INCAPABLE OF TREATING THE PRESIDENT? ARE THERE NO GOOD FEDERAL GOVERNMENT HOSPITALS? No, there isn’t. For good 16 years, the giant of Africa can’t still produce a standard government hospital. Nigeria is almost beyond repair.

The president keeps living his country for another man’s country because the giant of Africa does not have the facilities and equipment to treat the president. Billions of dollars have been dispensed to the Ministry of health; unfortunately, there is nothing to show for it. The World Health Organization (W.H.O) has also given the country billions of dollars to solve health problems as well as purchasing facilities; it all turns into a waste. It is a big slap on Nigeria as a country if one hospital can’t treat our dear President. It clearly means Nigeria hospitals are not capable. Some will say, Nigeria will get there someday. This is the same thing we would keep saying when Nigeria is 100 years if care is not taken. Where is the money given to solve health issues in the country?

Nigerian doctors are below standards and it all roots down to the educational system. The system is honestly rotten. Only the fortunate ones who go abroad can be termed to be experienced in their field of study. Checking the qualifications of some nurses in federal government hospitals, some Nigerians have stated they get scared when a nurse is about to give administer the injection. Private hospitals are highly patronized by those who can afford it. The government hospitals are no longer affordable by the less privileged. Where are we heading to? Our dear and capable President doesn’t believe in the health system.

How many Nigerian Universities have facilities or even provided facilities needed by medical students? When will Nigerian doctors begin to treat the country’s President? High profiled Nigerians keep running and living the country for just medical checkups. If those countries they are running to hadn’t developed their country, where would they run to? The honest and bitter truth is that the Nigeria health system cannot treat its President.

In conclusion, we all voted for change. The change starts from us all as citizens. If you are not in power and the words you utter are, “I will also embezzle money when I get there” that has to change because you came into this world with nothing and you will leave with nothing. Those in government should also know that they are there for a short period of time. They met people there and they will still for another person. We would all die one day. To our dear president, we at signalsng.com wish him a quick recovery.

There are talented doctors here but the state of Nigeria has nelected medical infastrure. That's why 1 billion dollars eaves country annually for medical tourism. It's the same reason we go hat in hand looking for meningitis vaccines from WHO and UK instead of simply making our own supply like we used to with other vaccines.

I bring Ibom Specialist Hospital as good going by heath minister’s comments. That's only 1 hospital. We need to do more. Simply make importing equipment duty free unless we can manufacturer it.
