Philosophical Schools Of Thought And What They Mean by Nobody: 7:53pm On May 10, 2017
This piece interested in discussing various schools of thoughts and their interpretation in the real life scenario.

First what does the term school of thought means...

School of Thought

A particular idea or set of ideas held by a specific group; doctrine. Any idea that a group strongly believes in, be it through practicing this idea in their everyday life or through fighting for its adoption, can be considered a school of thought. "Although many people today subscribe to the school of thought that everyone should have equal rights, decades ago this belief was not widely held."
USAGE EXAMPLES.

Schools of Thoughts.

1. Absurdism
2. Idealism
3. Realism
4. Naturalism
5. Existentialism
6. Nihilism
7.Pragmatism

1. Absurdism is the belief that a search for meaning is inherently in conflict with the actual lack of meaning, but that one should both accept this and simultaneously rebel against it by embracing what life has to offer.

2.Idealism
Idealism is a philosophical approach that has as its central tenet that ideas are the only true reality, the only thing worth knowing. In a search for truth, beauty, and justice that is enduring and everlasting, the focus is on conscious reasoning in the mind. Plato, father of Idealism.

3.Realists believe that reality exists independent of the human mind. The ultimate reality is the world of physical objects. The focus is on the body/objects. Truth is objective-what can be observed. Aristotle, a student of Plato who broke with his mentor's idealist philosophy, is called the father of both Realism and the scientific method.

4.Naturalism is the belief that all that exists in the universe is physical, material matter. There is no soul; we are just a complex collection of neurons. There is no Creator; there is evolution. And experiences like pain, pleasure, beauty, and a sense of self do not really exist.

5. The existentialists share the point of view that philosophical thinking - and existence! - begins with the human subject. The world and human life must be understood from the living experience of the first person. This insistence on the first person perspective leads them to focus on notions like freedom, angst, faith, the absurd, passion and authenticity.

6. Nihilism is the belief that not only is there no intrinsic meaning in the universe, but that it’s pointless to try to construct our own as a substitute.

7. Pragmatism (Experientialism)
For pragmatists, only those things that are experienced or observed are real. In this late 19th century American philosophy, the focus is on the reality of experience. Unlike the Realists and Rationalists, Pragmatists believe that reality is constantly changing and that we learn best through applying our experiences and thoughts to problems, as they arise. The universe is dynamic and evolving, a "becoming" view of the world. There is no absolute and unchanging truth, but rather, truth is what works. Pragmatism is derived from the teaching of Charles Sanders Peirce (1839-1914).

I tend to see the Absurdist school of thought as the ultimate goal in life... it tell of how useless every material things/titles or ranks are... the absurdist believe that the ultimate goal in life is death.. after achieving everything on earth the last fate to be achieved and is an inescapable fate..

the other schools of thoughts tend to describe the process of living ones life.. they tend to give a direction as to how you chose to pursue frivolities.

its my opinion though anyone with counter opinion should please take the floor...
