THE THRONE OF GRACE
Hebrews 4:16
Let us, then, feel very sure that we can come before God's throne where there is grace. There we can receive mercy and grace to help us when we need it. (New Century Version)

We have established that the throne of grace is a symbol of intercession. It is an exalted position where our Lord Jesus sits in glory waiting for his enemies to be made his footstool. There are benefits of this throne to the believer and the earlier the believer understands this and begins to walk in this truth, he operates above the ordinary and steps into the extraordinary. He takes possession of his place In Christ.
The scripture says “let us” not ‘let ALL”, the pronoun “us” refers to a set of people and in this case, the believers. Approaching the throne is for every believer not minding your status in the Christendom. It is not exclusively for clergymen but for the believing men. You have the right as a believer to access the throne of grace anytime and anywhere so far you are connected by faith and command exploits in your life and your environment. Faith is the medium through which you connect to grace, without faith nothing profits you in the Kingdom. (Hebrews 4:2)
Another benefit of the throne of grace is the Assurance of Mercy. “…there we can receive mercy…” Hear this, Mercy is received, it is not struggled for. This mercy is given for the washing away of your sins; it is given for the failures you have encountered in life. This mercy stands in for all your wrong. The amplified version renders Hebrews 4:16 thus
“Let us then fearlessly and confidently and boldly draw near to the throne of grace (the throne of God's unmerited favor to us sinners), that we may receive mercy [for our failures] and find grace to help in good time for every need [appropriate help and well-timed help, coming just when we need it].
Therefore, when we come before the throne of Grace in prayer let us confess our sins and understand that our sins or mistakes are forgiven! and will not be remembered again by God. When we have this consciousness that we have received mercy and not judgment then we are not weigh down and trampled upon by guilt or shame. There is no sin that is too big for the blood of Jesus, whether the sin is known or unknown, Jesus died for that sin. When ever we come to God, mercy speaks for us, it pleads our case. It is mercy that stands before the throne of Grace and say “Father I know he deserves death because of his sins but remember your blood on the cross of Calvary.” Jesus turns around and says to you “neither do I condemn you, I have shown you mercy.” Mercy qualifies you for a miracle, while Grace delivers your miracle to you.
Another benefit of the throne of grace is that you find Grace, which is why it is called the throne of grace in the first place. Grace is a product of mercy. In the old testament, people find grace which means they search for it, Noah found grace, so with Moses and many others but in the New testament, grace is with us (Hebrews 13:25).
There is no way you receive mercy from God and will not find grace. Grace is a product of mercy. Grace is God’s ability on your ability that enables your ability do what it couldn’t do. Can you explain how a ghastly motor accident occurs and someone survived without injuries? That is what Grace can do when God shows mercy to someone. When God is merciful to someone, he expresses this by pouring out his grace upon that fellow.
Grace is one benefit a believer gets from God. Grace to prosper and excel in your education, career, business, marriage, finance and whatever you do. When Jabez cried out to God for mercy, God showed him mercy and grace was poured out upon him, this grace prospered the works of his hand. You also can approach God today the way you are and say father! I come before your throne of Grace, please show me mercy; when this is done in faith you will discover that suddenly what was not working in your life, begins to work. People who never loved you begin to favor you because grace has been poured on you.
My desire is that with this revelation, you will hold on to it and walk in it for maximum delivery of your inheritance in Christ. Sin shall not weigh you down, situation will not overwhelm you but with this revelation, you will go to God boldly in Prayers and ask God for mercy. I see you walking in victories in this season. You are not what people say you are, you are what God says you are.
