They have no choice, CBN will debit police account domiciled with them and credit peace corps act

No, they have a choice. They will appeal. The 2017 PCN/NASS fiasco will then prominently come into play. It's going to be a long road to travel.

That judgement was given when PCN was acting within the ambit of the law. They went overboard when they commence nationwide recruitment of youth with the promised that the FG will absolve all of them when the President accent to the law as passed by NASS.

The law establishing Peace Corp which was recently passed by the Senate has been suspended. No one is fighting pcn or whatever, what people are against, is extortion in the name of training whatsoever. No establishment, agency or organization established by the Federal Government CAN DEMAND intending staff/workers/applicants to pay any fees for their training.

you're all talking here as if u don't know the kind of police we have in this country. they will not pay the money and if they pay, we the citizens will suffer for it, so expect sudden increase on all bail!

Get you facts right before posting crappy shitty (bad Belle)!!!! the Senate Leader, Senator Ahmed Lawan raised a point of order and stated that the debate stages have passed hence, stopping the Bill is no longer an option. He however noted that the Bill could be delayed while the Senate is briefed properly by its Committee on Judiciary before adoption of the Conference Committee Report.

On his part, the Senate President Senator Bukola Saraki said the Senate should implore proper guidelines and consider the status of the Bill in the Green chamber. The matter was referred to Judiciary committee and is expected to report back in two weeks for final consideration before transmitting to The President and Commander-in Chief of the Armed Forces for his assent. There's no extortion anywhere peace corps is an NGO for now and the money paid by the cadets is for officers that will carry out the training, uniforms , training manuals, identification card and many more.... you don't expect the government to sponsor a training for an organisation that's yet to become of one the Government paramilitary.

We shout no job,no job ,no job, the government are trying to creating one and we the youth are even the one bad mouthing it? what kind of a country is this ? that the progress of others gives us butt hurt.... Nigeria which way

Guess your retina omitted the word "suspended".

Who certified the NPC a paramilitary NGO? I guess you haven't read the charges against the Commandant of the illegal paramilitary organization. What are the credentials of the said officers carrying out the training, in what facilities are the said cadets being trained, and for what purpose are they trained?

Even companies who desire to have their own Police, subscribes to the laws of the country, they out of their own pocket pay the Nigerian Police to train the men and women they need. Take for instance the NSCDC, for years even after the bill bringing them under the Ministry of Interior was passed by the Senate and ascended to by the then President; Obasanjo, they never charged a dime from intending officers, all they did was work out modalities with the Nigerian military in terms of training it's officers and men, hence you see the cooperation between men of the Army and those of the NSCDC till this date.

You cannot just wake up in the morning and decide to form a paramilitary organization, in saner climes, the whole management, would have been jailed ever since. As an NGO, you do not charge your intending members diverse sums of money to undergo your training, hence the aim as an NGO is defeated.

During my time in the University, they was an NGO fighting cultism and corruption on school campuses in which they operated (don't know if they still exist), they never called themselves paramilitary, but they had ample support and training from the SSS, and most of them were later absorbed into the SSS.

Notwithstanding, should the National Assembly right their wrongs in terms of this bill(which is highly unlikely in this 8th Senate) and the President ascends to it, do you think that the Ministry of Interior will employ those men who can differentiate between left and right as officers and men of the Nigerian Peace Corps?
Kindly read the charges the NPF brought against the man who is the Commandant again.
