At the beginning of the 2016-17 Premier League season, it wasn’t clear which of the Super managers would have the most impact in the Premier League or win the title. But Manchester City and United bosses slightly topped many lists.

Jose Mourinho who joined Manchester United after being relieved of his Chelsea job was picked to win the league because of his experience and his understanding of the English football while Pep Guardiola who joined Manchester City from Bayern Munich was the other manager tipped to do the special.

Pep Guardiola, in particular, was the players, pundits and fans favorites to not only win it all in the Premier League but also change the way football is being played in England.

The two-time Champions League, La Liga, and Bundesliga-winning coach was credited for successes the Spanish and German national team had during his time coaching in those countries because of the identical style of play between Barcelona-Spain and Bayern-Germany at those times.

This led many to have tipped the Spaniard as the man who will change the way football is being played in England but it was Antonio Conte whose ‘Italian job’ for Chelsea ensured they win the Premier League title for the second time in three years.

Antonio Conte didn’t just become the fourth Italian manager to win the League after Carlo Ancelotti, Roberto Mancini, and Claudio Ranieri and the fourth to win it in his first season after Jose Mourinho, Carlo Ancelotti, and Manuel Pellegrini, he also became the first to win it with the three at the back formation.

His three at the back formation has been played by most of the teams in England this season and the formation tagged as ‘can’t be successful in England’ is now the toast of many managers.

Arsene Wenger recently changed to the formation and has lost just one time in 6 games since they began playing three at the back, Jose Mourinho has played the formation, Pep Guardiola has played the formation, Everton and Tottenham have in most of their games.
