There is a very sad and unfortunate trend going on on Nairaland lately.
On almost every news thread about a person or group of persons from a particular region in the country we see people coming out to start bashing each other's origin or ethnicity. Labeling themselves IPOB, AFONJAS, HAUSA/FULANI and what have you.

It is sad that many of the Nigerian youths on Nairaland have decided to abandon every ounce of sensible comments and discussion to bash, downgrade and attack the other person's ethnic alignment while their leaders continue to bask in their ever growing lots feeling ever secure from the magnanimous lack of intellectualism of the majority of the Nigerian youths.

Little wonder why the leaders of yesterday are still the leaders today.

We must call ourselves to order and stop this disgusting act of hasty generalization of an act of a person to an entire ethnic race.[/s]
