I've made up my mind to change my course.....looking at my aggregate score...i beat the cutoff mark for political science...thats why I consider it an option
Re: Deleted by Nobody: 6:05pm On May 18, 2017

Anyone who scores 49 in English and 45 in English Literature has no business studying Mass Communications.

AJIBBS:

-My sluggishness got the better of me...i could only answer 163 out of 180 questions

-I remember picking the wrong answers in some questions due to the pressure/fear in me...(even when I knew the answer)

-I started studying late (not reading per se...just using the TEST DRILLER APP & MY SCHOOL app) (they really helped though)

BUT I THANK MY GOD for crossing over the 200 mark

Well, better luck next time. Don't place all your hopes on securing a successful change of course. It's a very stressful procedure and most people don't always succeed at it.

Unilag
Last year's cutoff was 70.00(merit)
While catchment (my state - OYO state) was 67.50

Na my brother u be. Also from Oyo. If u have passion fr mass com, I'll advise u change ur institution to one that accepts ur point than changing ur course.

I was expecting @ least 249 but I got 202....MY DREAMS OF STUDYING MASS COMMUNICATION IN UNILAG has hit a stumbling block....

Guess I'll have to make do with POLITICAL SCIENCE OR SOCIOLOGY/ PHILOSOPHY(change of course form)....

I take 100% blame for my low score....

Which of these courses will you advice I study?

POLITICAL SCIENCE OR SOCIOLOGY/ PHILOSOPHY....

NOTE:- MY O'LEVEL SCORE WHEN CALCULATED IS 39 while utme score is 25.25

TOTAL:- 64.25

My Sympathy bro. Pls if I may ask, how did you calculate your Scores. Was it like this:

Now to Unilag, it goes thus: O'LEVEL
A1; 10 points,
B2; 9 points,
B3; 8 points,
C4; 7 points,
C5; 6 points and
C6; 5 points.
All you have to do is to calculate the points for your 5 jamb subjects combination. No multiplication or division needed.

JAMB
You'll then divide your Jamb score by 8.

Thanks EGBON MI grin
But to be sincere I just want to gain admission this year, I've checked institutions in the south west whose cutoff mark, my aggregate score could beat but my aggregate score is too low compared to their cutoff mark for mass communication...so I think changing course would be best thing to do

Looking at UNILAG'S CUTOFF MARK LAST YEAR FOR POLITICAL SCIENCE WAS

64.75 for merit list
While 60.63 for catchment area (OYO state)

For sociology was
66.50 (merit)
63.50 (OYO)

Any advice ?
