With the way the Igbos have been celebrating this "coordinator" issue both online and offline for some days now, one will think Biafra has been declared already grin

Nobody need to tell the world that the hate has nothing to do with the last election cool

I wish the good people of the SS can continue playing their mature politics though.

You're wrong. If you notify your father that you want to get married to a Nupe lady and he assent doesn't mean he will sleep with your wife. It means he is in agreement with your position or choice.

All this confusion would have been better imagined had GEJ continued.

All of a sudden in two years, we're regaled with tales of acting v coordinator fiasco, coup and the likes.

In life we have to be careful what we wish for. People wanted change and change they got.

Suddenly our nascent democracy looks precarious.

Should Buhari not make it, Osinbajo will only see out the tenure until May 2019 with Kwankwaso or El-Rufai as VP. That is if he agrees to leave. If he does not agree to leave by 2019, a northern coup would be imminent.

You do not have to be a prophet to see the big picture.

Osinbajo must sign that budget.

This fooolish greedy president and his fooolish brothers in Aso Rock must not be allowed to destroy Nigeria's democracy

I told people that the cabal deliberately replaced 'acting' president with 'coordinating' president to limit the VP's power.

Some mumus were here attempting to defend them

Am just praying they don't harm this Osinbajo. These desperate people can do just anything.

Please answer this questin truthfully.
Did you ever attend a Senior Secondary school, or you stopped schooling after your junior WAEC ecams?

It is very clear you do not have an inkling of governance, or constitutional law, if you do, I believe you are willfully telling yourself what is not possible.

Why do you think a President of a nation hands over power to his VP to become Acting-President? The position of the President and C-in-C should never be vacant hence the VP is empowered to act in full presidential powers when the President is unavailabe (due to annual leave, medical leave, or suddenly becomes incapacitated without the opportuinity to write to the NASS).

Like someone said, UNTIL Buhari writes to the Senate that he has RESUMED office, he CANNOT assent to the bill.

If by any dubious means, Kyari's cabal gets Buhari who is on leave to sign it, a flood gate of litigations will arise. Why? His signature would have made the bill so assented to by him to be as worthless as the paper used in printing it. Its as simple as that.

It's sad that we always find a way to complicate so very simple things.

Buhari is the substantive president. Osibanjo is simply a coordinator. Buhari must sign the budget if he so wishes. An acting does not translate to the real. Osibanjoo only acts for his master and the master can decide what he wants his subordinate to do as long as he is in the right frame of mind. The constitution did not say Buhari must sign the budget in Nigeria. He can sign it wherever he is except in the grave. Buhari is still alive and as long as he is alive, Osibanjo has a limited remit. We should stop polarising the country and needs to call a spade a spade.

No VP choice can be imposed on a President. El rufai or Kwankwaso cannot be forced on Osibanjo. He becomes full President before he exercises his powers to choose whom he feels he can work with and with Tinubu on his side, they won't choose anyone that has political ambition. As for coup, forget about it, any fresh coup will end Nigeria immediately.

There's nothing wrong in praying but we as a country tend to be too religious.Kindly take your time to read what you just quoted and respond appropriately. Buhari has no power or authority to sign the budget cos they has transmitted his powers to Osibanjo and if I may ask, are they planing to fly the document abroad via a private jet or by way of soft copy?Do we now have a president who is leading us from a foreign country? Plese let's not be too quick to resort to prayers nd forget the facts. If Buhari depended on Prayers,he would be in Nigeria and not bother seeing a doctor.

The North will truncate this democracy if anything happens to Buhari. There will be power seizure by military for 6 months.
Another election will take place when the north pefercts their plan.

If this plan is foiled. Asassinations will take place.

Did that happen when GEJ took over?

That is true in theory. But we know that unlike the North allowing OBJ to chose freely having conceded presidency to SW due to MKO saga, they won't allow that when they expect to take over soonest again. As for coup, if happens Nigeria will not break up anything. SW cannot expect help support from SS and SW against the same North they helped bring to power. It would be seen as Karma by many. Even though 46% or so of SW still voted for Jonathan. But SW propaganda was seen as most vocal and damaging being fellow Southerners.

One can dismiss SE and SS that SW does not need them. That would be a big mistake standing alone against the North. If Biafra had support of SW, it would have succeeded. If Awo had support of SE, he could have clinched prime ministership before Akintola broke away from Action Group. Zik of Africa could have done same with SW support, even if narrowly, perhaps with middle belt and other minority parties then.
Division is our bain in the South.

It will amount to illegality for Buhari to sign the budget while still away. If he wants to sign, he should come back and inform the national assembly of his resumption. The people behind this signing controversy are just silly. What difference does it make if it's Buhari or Osinbajo that sign?

Ita Enang and Lai Mohammed unfortunately are not helping matters with their utterances. They are just creating unnecessary controversy for the government.

I hope this is not true. But if its true then those of us who were suspicious of the word CO-ORDINATOR being inserted in the letter knew what we were saying.

Where is falana and co who were insisting that only a letter needs to be written to the senate for osinbajo to be ag. President.

On paper they are correct but this is Nigeria and things should be spelt out clear and without any room for reasonable or unreasonable doubt.

Calm down bro, when you consider the current political situation in Nigeria, you will agree that it will be better that Buhari sign the budget to avoid technical jargons of interpreting the law/constitution whereby a party will take the matter to court, which may delay/put on hold the implementation of the budget or better still make a case for impeachment. Prevention is better than cure they say, Buhari signing the budget is in the best interest of the country considering the current political situation of the country as at today.

Please note that the signing of the budget by Osibanjo is not an issue because that has been settled by law, I am only of the opinion that they just want to take a proactive measure to avoid anything that can delay the implementation of the budget.
