There's lopsidedness in the design because what is the reason for not including Nnewi and Owerri to connect Aba which is encompassing, they only included Onitsha as a bait to appease the Igbos

Should the rest of Nigeria also request that every part of the states including local government should be railed?

What's next, include every local government?

Why include south east to pay a loan for something not on south east? Very dubious people.

Anyone supporting this is also a dubious individual

This loan thing is the most nonsensical and ignorant rubbish ever.

FG take out loans all the time to finance projects all over the country with many states left regardless who is paying.

The airport Jona refurbished in the SE was taken care of with Chinese loan, so should the rest of the country have shouted and demanded their own airport because they are going to pay back the loan collectively too?

What a silly argument.

The SE has been included, just because at initial stages the explanation was not available.. Lagos Calabar rail cannot by passed most of the town and cities.. Is Calabar not part of east anymore ?What about Port Harcourt is Otueke SW region? Maybe Aba has been annex to Afonjas..

PH, Calabar all the way down to SS are all part of the SE when they cry about biafra and other people's land they wan to join to biafra, but all of a sudden when it comes to rail, they are all not part of the SE.

Fraudulent people as usual.

Just imagine these nonentities trying to convince us that Igbos are not being marginalised by Buhari's government. Just look at these people! A national rail project that "barely extended" to two SE cities, as an after thought, is now being used to massage the ego of the SE. Lol! I don die Hahahahahahah...

To start with, the contract was awarded by the same Jona and PDP that promised you 2nd niger bridge for 16 years, they took out the loan too.

You and your leaders sat quietly for 16 years like mumu, now you are blaming the people that renegotiated the contract, saved us some money and added Onitsha.

You people sabi amaze pesin sha..

“The Lagos – Calabar will traverse Lagos-Shagamu-Ore-Benin City-Sapele-Warri-Yenegoa with siding to Otuoke-Port Harcourt-Aba-Uyo-calabar and branch line from Benin City-Abudu-Onitsha including Onitsha rail bridge.

The Lagos – Kano rail Project will traverse Lagos-Abeokuta-Ibadan-Oshogbo-Ilorin-Jebba-Minna-Kaduna-Zaria-Kano with branch line from Minna-Abuja and Abuja-Kaduna.”

The ministry also stated that the bank loan would be used to fund three segments from the rail project.

“Lagos-Ibadan: Lagos-Abeokuta-Ibadan with extension to Apapa Port Complex (Segment 2 of Lagos – Kano), Kano-Kaduna (Segment 3A of Lagos – Kano) and Calabar – Port Harcourt: Port Harcourt-Aba-Uyo-Calabar with extension to Onne Deep Sea Port (Segment 1 of the Coastal rail Line).

This is even worse than I thought.

The Lagos-Calabar line goes through Lagos to Ogun to Ondo to Edo to Delta to Bayelsa to Rivers State manages to touch Aba, Abia State because it is closest to Akwa Ibom and then to Uyo and stops at Calabar.

The so called branch line from Benin to Abudu (both in Edo state) stops at Onitsha yet animals in human skin will wonder why Igbos have had enough of this country.

We need to challenge this in court en masse. We should not be paying taxes to the Federal Government or helping repay this loan as a region if we will not be considered as part of this country. I think enough is enough.

Fire burn Lord Lugard for yoking us with these people. Time is coming...

I can't say it enough. Igbos were 200% correct not to vote for APC. Time has shown us to be right in our choice.

There are not enough bullets in the world to stop agitation for secession when you marginalise people like this and make them pay for it

This yoba's are funny, one is even saying that the FG took a lone to refurbish the akanuibiam airport, but can not state which region that does not have an international airport, why I hate this moos is that they think they are wise, this too simple, the FG want to upgrade all the rail line to standard line why won't the eastern line be treated as others rather some section of it will be touched, Bleep what do you guys take the igbo for, what abariba is saying is INCLUDE THE EASTERN RAIL LINE IN THE UPGRADE NOT A SECTION OF IT SINCE ALL IS GOING TO PAY FOR THE LOAN.

Yet tomorrow some maggots will scream to the high heavens that they don't need government to develop. Nobody's name was mentioned by the way so anyone quoting this should take it as their first sign of madness.
Are we begging FG to develop our region? Is it today that FG neglected anything S' East? Since you guys wants to include our region in the payment scheme, then its morally right to question its lop-side implementation in regards to S' East. sad

Whether you believe or not sir, the only region that is a parasite today in Nigeria (except North East fighting a war) is the South East.

South East is the only region that adds little or nothing to Nigeria.

But their states go to Abuja to collect monthly allocation from what South South, South West, North Central and North West put together.

South South - Major crude oil

South West Port services, mining, about 5% of Nigerian crude oil, invisible services, etc

North Central - Mining, agricultural produce, grains and other food exports

North West - Agric produce, food & grains.

South East - about 0.08 of crude oil.

South East is the only know parasite in Nigeria. Please check Nigeria's data to confirm this.

then allow them to go their separate way
