Breaking News Jonathan can perform Presidential duties, says court Vice-President Goodluck Jonathan today received the go ahead of a court to perform Presidential functions. A federal High court sitting in Abuja held that Jonathan could perform such duties absence of President Umaru Yar'Adua. The court was ruling on a case brought by a lawyer, Christopher Onwuekwe, over the President's long absence from home without handing over to Jonathan. The plaintiff claimed that the only way out is to empower Jonathan to exercise Presidential powers until Yar'Adua's return. |
