Title of anime: Hinako Note

What is the anime about?

Sakuragi Hinako is a nice young lady who lives out in the countryside but is shy.

Painfully shy.

So shy, that anytime strangers talk to her, she freezes up....and ends up looking like a scarecrow.

Which ends up with her being used as one.....and also enables her to talk to animals (It's complicated).

But, she decides that she HAS to overcome her shyness problem, and so she moves to Tokyo to attend a school with a noted drama club....and moves into a girls' dorm which happens to be located above a coffee shop AND a used bookstore.

And the first person she meets on moving in....is eating a book.(That's the truth)

Then there is the young lady who loves maid clothing, the quiet Landlady...who also is a high school student, and the friendly enemy....and the school's theater club advisor who is 9 years old....

The anime is at its heart the story of a young girl who has a weakness, and who struggles to overcome this weakness by 1) realising that she has a problem(shyness), 2) decides to do something about it by changing her environment (changes schools) 3) by doing something she likes (theater/drama club).

Hinako makes a lot of mistakes and still tends to freeze up at the most uncomfortable moments. But bit by bit, she grows and grows out of her shyness...into an accomplished and confident young lady who makes friends and discovers gifts she never had.

Indeed, one can say that Sakuragi Hinako becomes more and more of an inspiration to anyone who watches this anime. If she can do it...so can i!
