Glo 4G is scary I tell you. I downloaded 3.5 GB in 15mins. I nearly went mad. I thought the file was corrupted, but it was 100% complete.

Glo is crappy in my house at Yaba. Does work in my room. I have to move close to the window to get network. Even at that to open a single page na war.

As much as you can only speak about your experience, Glo is wack for a majority of people.

If e no dey pay me, i for don switch since. Was previously using Etisalat when their network was reliable even though it was expensive but when they started experiencing network failure consistently, i switched immediately. If glo starts nonsense too, dem no bury my placenta with them, i will switch to another network. That's how it goes.

Latest data on internet growth in the country has indicated that Nigeria’s data grandmasters, Globacom, has remained the preferred telecommunications company in terms of internet penetration as at the end of Quarter 1, 2017.
The report covering the first three months of year 2017 undertaken by the Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC) showed that Globacom recorded a total of 27,021,200 internet users on its network. This translates to 72 per cent of the total number of subscribers on its network, which stood at 37,328,827 at the end of the quarter.
The data penetration rate of 72 per cent figure is more than the industry average of 59 per cent. The total number of internet users in the industry was 90,003,101 by the end of the first quarter of the year compared to a total of 152,216,763 subscribers in the industry.
The telecom operator that placed second was Etisalat with a data penetration of 68 per cent as it had 13,008,481 data users out of a total subscriber base of 19,621,806. Airtel placed third with 56 percent internet penetration. Data users on Airtel network as at March 2017, was 19,423,760, out of the total 34,656,605 subscribers on its network.
MTN brought up the rear, recording the least penetration of data users on its network in comparison with the total number of subscribers using the network. Only 30,519,351 or 51 per cent of its 60,391,959 customers subscribed to its data services.
With this latest report, Globacom has retained its position as the preferred network for data services in the last two years. The network added half a million customers to its internet subscriber base in the last one year.

Glo and NTEL are birds of a feather!

I was using Spectranet 10K monthly sub. I had no problem with the speed but I was not comfortable with the fact that I have to wake up at night to do my heavy downloads. Last month, I decided to go for NTEL 10K "unlimited" sub. It was a very bad decision.

I found out that they have a daily data limit of 3GB. After using 3GB in a day, the speed with be throttled to around 68k/s. Aside that, my average speed (when the 3GB limit is yet to be exceeded) is about 300kb/s, for a 4G network this is preposterous and very unacceptable. It gets so bad at times I can't even stream non-HD videos. There was a time they shut down their network for almost 3 days, one can only access google websites... they only acknowledged and apologized (by text) after 2days of service disruption and of course with no compensation whatsoever.

I hate to know that my sub is about to expire, but for NTEL, I longed for the day it will expire, and I was glad when it finally did.

NTEL has all the characteristics of Glo. I don't know how you manage their poor service.

I am back to Spectranet.
