Social media platforms are home to origins of various trends. Aside it's immense benefits which included Quick Dissemination of Information, Easy access to services, Modern means of interaction e.t.c social media platforms have also given ruse to various degrees of immorality and whoredom.
The society bears the consequences of the negative effect of Social media platforms as values and norms are been disregarded and relegated. One of such disregarded values is our mode of dressing.
The mode of dressing defines who people are. The quickest way to differentiate a man from China from a man from India is their mode of dressing.
But today there's is no difference in the mode of dressing of a night club stripper, a rogue, a thug or a prostitute from a Nigerian Youth. Nudity has taken over Social Media.
For a thousand likes and thousands of followers ladies put their bodies on display, showcasing their b**bs and Bum. All over social media Nudity is a trending trend, a fast-growing one.
It actually doesn't apply to Ladies alone as guys also do same, exposing thier muscular bodies to garner followers.
What's Nudity??
Nudity is simply been naked, either wholly or partially, whatever way inasmuch body parts which should be covered in any decent setting are exposed nudity has taken over.
Nudity poses a great threat to preserving our posterity, heritage and culture. It sends negative vibes about us and our people. It is a trend that must be curbed so as to avert the damage it would exert on our seemingly disintegrated populace.
Curbing The Menace.
Bringing out a problem isn't just it, solutions should also be preferred.
- Social Media platforms should impose stricter laws to curtail or permanently stop the trend of nudity on its platforms.
- Broadcasting Bodies should regulate and moderate video contents, banning videos which contain nudes.
- Societal norms and values should be thought online, in schools, in churches, in mosques, anywhere and everywhere.
- National TV's must stop the showcasing of nudity or anything connected with nudity.
- A nationwide campaign could be carried out against nudes and indecent dressing.
- Parents should keep watch over their children and ensure they don't have access to nudes or dress indecently, charity actually begins at home.
Nudity definitely, is a canker, just like corruption, it is eating deep into the fabrics of our posterity, culture and heritage. It must be stopped
