Some of you should calm down and read the whole thread before quoting. Are you even considering the bad naira? Does china have outsiders construct such facilities, is china not a developed country? Does china have it's steel and iron plants to construct such? How cheap is labor in China given their population (unskilled labor)?

N844b ÷ 36km = N23b/km

N70b ÷ 0.6km = N116b/km

Even if we adjust for labor cost differential, terrain, depth of rivers, the proposed 4th mainland bridge still wins.

You don't ave he engineering design and details including the number of lanes involved

You don't have the numbers of houses to be destroyed and people to be compensated to make way for the bridge

You don't have any facts regarding the number of ramps and exits and interchanges

The cost of materials in China is not the same in Nigeria

The cost of labor is not the same in Nigeria

China obviously did not import tools and construction materials like trucks, cranes, excavators, earth movers and so on to build their own bridge so give us the cost estimate for all that including the cost of transportation and haulage to Nigeria.

China obviously destroyed little or no houses or pay any compensation to anybody.

Show us the facts and details you summoned before making your flawed assertions because all you spewed was blind, ignorant and illogical crap.

Can u build a better bridge for less? I've compared the bridge proposal with similar bridges round the world and did find out that the cost has been well bargained. You can trust Ambode, he won't waste public fund unnecessarily.

Mind you, this is a multipurpose bridge that will also carry rail tracks.

Very good analysis, My problem is Nigeria is so poor and when people hear N844b they think its so massive a money for such a project. I've seen where massive Mega projects have been done in the world and the truth is, Lagos state government have bargained very well for that bridge.
Its a real win for the state, in that the state is not the one spending to build the bridge. Need we say lots of job will be created as well.
