i am yet to personally confirm this but the news is rife in Aba that the new polymer fifty naira note now has a counterfeit. according to the rumour the fake one has six serial numbers (excluding the alphabet) while the real one has seven. bankers in the house is this true? |

i am. the fake can also be detected with a mercury light which i hear gives a faint green colour (so i heard) while the good one gives a sharp green colour |
